ETHEREAL (Jikook)

So lucky

Jimin hums quietly as he twirls around.

Jumping into a puddle here and there, and giggling happily about it.

He looks up and see's a bunch of people hurrying inside with their heads down, hoping to escape from the rain, and Jimin just watches them in confusion.

Why do they leave for? The rain is so beautiful, he thinks.

He raises his arms in the air and throws his head back, closing his eyes gently as he feels the rain drops tap his face.

The rain has always been his favorite thing.

Something about the sound of it is peaceful, something about the feel of it is surreal and something about the looks of it..is ethereal.

In this moment, in his own little world, he feels content.

And in this beautiful moment, in his happy little world, he can't help but think of the one other thing that makes him feel just as happy, and just as much at peace.

He squints his eyes as he looks up at the sky, struggling, then he smiles. "I wish he were here right now..."

He'd love to see how beautiful the rain looks in this moment...

Jimin goes back to humming as he now looks forward, out at the trees that are miles away, because even from afar they look beautiful.

"What are we staring at?"

Jimin quickly turns around, surprised at the sudden voice.

Then his eyes widen...because that wasn't just any voice...that voice belonged to someone he's been thinking about for days now.

Jimin feels his heart beat pick up as the taller approaches him slowly with a smile, and his hands resting carelessly in his pant pockets.

"I...Jungkook..."

"I understand, you're speechless to see me, I get that a lot-'

Jimin cuts him off by immediately throwing his arms over the taller's shoulders, and holding him tight.

So tight, and Jungkook wastes no time to hold the smaller back with a laugh.

"How are you here?!" Jimin asks excitedly.

"Oh, easy, I fell from the clouds 'cause I'm incredible," Jungkook jokes, laughing a little himself.

Jimin giggles as he backs away and looks up into the taller's eyes. "You're not wrong..." he then stares longer, in silence, and in complete awe, "I've missed looking into your eyes so much...and I was just thinking about you, actually."

"Oh? What about me?" Jungkook follows Jimin, whose walking just a little down the side walk.

"I just felt calm, happy...content... beautiful....I always think of you in those moments...because you're the only person, who makes me feel calm, happy, content, and beautiful, too."

Jungkook stops walking, now looking fondly at Jimin with a soft smile.

Jimin notices he stopped walking, so he turns around, "Jungkook...?"

Jungkook doesn't look away.

He continues to stare at Jimin, smiling.

The rain suddenly gets a little harder, and that makes Jimin giggle. He puts his hands up to feel the rain, then he notices the sunset. "Ohh Jungkook, look! Your favorite!" He gasps at the orange and pink sky. "It's so beautiful!"

Jungkook's heart beat picks up and he starts to breathe a little heavy for how nervous he feels.

Then smiles again.
