"So who is it?" Lucy asks, towering over me. It's actually quite intimidating.
"Who's what?" I say, pretending that I don't know what she means.
"Who are you crushing on Riley? We all know you are eyeing up someone" Julia butts in.
We're slowly walking home, fortunately, we live quite close together, Cody and Oliver were bussing home. So we had some time to talk about 'girly things' not that I'm into that stuff. Ugh.
"I'm not crushing on anyone" I protest. "And even if I was," I add, because I was crushing on someone. "I can't say"
"Oh come on!" Lucy pleads.
"Can't say" I giggle.
"Please?"
"Can't say."
"PLEASE! Is it Oliver? Cody?"
"Can't say"
"Fine!" Julia finishes, as we stop at the street where we go separate ways to our houses. "But we know your crushing on someone."
And just like that, my new friends walk away. Man do I look forward to tomorrow.

"I'm home" I call as I shut the front door and walk down the hallway into the kitchen, where mum was baking what looked like lasagna, my absolute least favorite. "Oh hey sweetie how was school?" She asks turning the oven on.
"Good"
"What did you do"
"Nothing much"
"Well you must of done something"
"Well we learnt stuff"
"Made any friends?"
"Yep"
"Who are they?"
"People"
Mum sighs, finally she gets that no one really likes talking about days at school. My phone rang in my pocket, I fished it out, ran to my room, flopped on my bed and said "Hello Riley Dean speaking?"

"Hey it's me, Oliver"
my insides go warm and my brain goes fuzzy. "Sup" I say stupidly. Shoot.
"Ummm, yeah, well, Julia doesn't have your number so she asked me to call you to ask if you wanted to come over to our place for dinner tonight?" He stuttered rather quickly.
"Oh" I reply, takin aback by how fast he said all of it. "Well yeah! Sure! When can I come over?" I ask, now all excited and energetic. "Any time" he says. "3 north road" Oliver adds "yep got it"
"Sweet"
"Cool bananas" I say and hang up. Stupid Riley idiot.
