An eerie mist creeps around the sidewalk and the driveway of a light beige house. Every single light is off except for the one in the room to the far left of the house. Laughter and screams echo through the halls.

"Dear God, I've never seen such a stupid movie." says a young girl as she looks up from her computer screen. She is a brunette with glasses, and has the simplest dot of a beauty mark on her face.

"Well jeez, Angie. Come on, it might be a stupid movie, but it's funny to laugh at! I mean look at how fake those guts are!" exclaims the blonde sitting next to her. She slams her hands on the bed as she laughs at the movie on the screen.

"I just don't see the value in making fun of a cliche horror movie. Everything in it is so predictable, that it just makes me cringe." says Angie. She closes her laptop screen and looks at her friend with a smirk of disappointment.

"Well, do you want me to turn it off?" she says. Angie looks at the screen, which is displaying graphic images of a young man getting his throat cut. She makes a face of disgust at this sight.

"Please do. I can't take another minute of this torture porn."

The blonde snatches the remote from the nearby dresser and turns off the television. She throws it on to her lap, giving a breath of discontent.

"Bummer." she says.

"I'm sorry Lena. If it makes you feel better, we can watch Stab if you want?" Angie says nudging Lena's shoulder.

"I'm good. I kind of don't like scary movies that are based on true stories." says Lena.

"Why not? It just makes it scarier knowing it actually happened."

"I don't know. That mask just scares the crap out of me." Lena says getting up from the bed.

"Where are you going?"

"I'm going to go eat the rest of your cereal." Angie frowns at her as she walks out of the bedroom and down the hall. Angie opens up her laptop again and continues to scroll through her news feed. Lena pulls out the box of cereal from the cabinet and places it on the counter next to her bowl of milk.

As she continues navigating through social media, Angie's Skype begins to ring. Confused, she clicks on the call being received. The caller is unknown. She clicks the green button and accepts the call. The screen is pitch black.

"Hello?" she says, biting her nails.

"Hello." responds the anonomyous caller. The voice is raspy and low.

"Uh, yeah, hi. Do I know you?"

"No." the voice responds.

"Okay.. then is there anything I could help you with? If not, I think you have the wrong number my friend."

"Yes, I need help. I need a lot of help.. Angie." Angie raises her eyebrow and looks harder at the screen.

"What did you just say?" she says.

"I said I need your help, Angie. I just don't know how I want to slit your stomach open; a quick one to the right, or a deep, vertical slash?"

"What the fuck? You creep." Angie says. She quickly hangs up the call. She bites her nails.

Lena closes the refrigerator door with her shoulder as she carries her bowl of cereal in her arms. She stomps her way into the bedroom with a mouthful of cereal.

"Who were you talking too?" says Lena.

"I don't know. Some random guy called me on Skype, so I just answered, and he was all like I'm gonna slash your stomach." says Angie. Lena stops chewing and looks at her.
