"Why are these arrows even here?" Mr. Borne asks as he slowly progresses down the hallway with the gun in his hand.
"The real question is, who's blood is that?" she says. They continue to follow a series of bloody arrows. At the end of the hallway, the arrows seem stop in front of two red doors.
"Where does that lead?"
"The gym." Julie says.
As they continue to walk, a big black bulk lies in the middle of the hallway. They both pause, nervously breathing. What is that? Julie shines the light on the mass, squinting to see what it is. Julie gives out a scream as she realizes it is Ms. Leslie's mutilated corpse, lying in the middle of the hallway. Mr. Borne looks away, shaking his head.
"Damn it. I'm calling for back up." he says grabbing his radio.
Julie drops on her knees, crying at the sight. Poor old Ms. Leslie. The sweetest lady in this school. She counseled Julie during her family issues. Now, Julie will have to counsel her, except at a funeral.
"We've got a 187. Requesting back up immediately."
Julie gets up, wiping her tears.
"Why would he kill such a nice lady?" he asks.
"Dad, all of those answers are behind those doors."
Julie and Mr. Borne look at each other in the eyes, communicating their concern and curiosity. They both face the door, both breathing heavily. Father and daughter approach the door slowly, their hearts thumping hard in their chests.
