Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. Ding. The alarm buzzes loudly and annoyingly. A groan escapes through the sea of sheets. A hand springs out of the bed sheets and slams the alarm clock. Slowly, a head entangled with messy brown hair rises out of the sheets. She looks over at the clock as it reads seven o'clock in the morning. She blows the hair from her face, revealing a perfectly sculpted face. She groans and tumbles on to the floor, dragging the sheets down with her. She slowly gets up from off the floor and limps to the bathroom in her room. She enters and turns on the pale faucet, allowing clear water to flow in her hands as she splashes her face with it.
She walks down the stairs in a pair of brown boots and an over-sized shirt. Her hair is pinned up in a poof, with small strands of hair reaching out around her neck.
"Morning sweetheart." says a voice from the room next to the stairs. She groans and walks in to the kitchen and sees her father serving eggs on the counter. She walks over to him and kisses him on the cheek.
"Morning pops." she says. He gives her a warm smile and points to the platter of eggs. She walks over to the counter and sits down on the stool next to it and begins to chow down on the eggs.
"So, Julie, sweetie, do you know what dress you want for prom?" he asks as he turns off the gas on the stove. He leans on the counter, holding his head up. Julie turns to him with the fork still in her hand and smiles.
"I think I want the one with the white sequins on the side." she says biting in to the eggs.
"That's good. Well hurry up, you're going to be late to school." he says lightly tapping the counter. She swallows the last bit of eggs and gets up from the stool. She hugs on to her father for a good nine seconds and walks to the front door. She sighs as she walks down the drive way into her shiny red car. Julie starts her car, buzzing on the radio.
"This is Clear Creek High radio reporting some bad news. We seem to have lost two fellow Badgers." Julie widens her eyes as she pulls off into the street and turns up the volume.
"Angela Vasquez and Lena Woods were found brutally murdered. Police reports say that they died at around eleven thirty last night. A memorial will be held in the auditorium at lunch, so please come pay your respect to our beloved." says the radio. Julie shakes her head and continues to drive down the street. She makes a turn before entering her school parking lot, which is flooded with news vans and television reporters. She pulls up and parks in an empty space. She grabs her thin beige bag and steps out of the car, looking around. A tan caramel haired girl approaches her.
"Did you hear?" she says hugging Julie.
"Yeah, I heard Ryan on the radio. Do they know who did it?" Julie says walking towards the entrance of the school.
"No clue. They say the police found Angie smashed through her bedroom window with a huge hole in her face, and Lena-" says the girl before being interrupted by Julie.
"Dana, I really don't want to hear about it." she says making a face of disgust.
"Wait, but here's the best part. They found Lena hanging from her garage door with her guts flopped all over the floor. It's sick." Dana says. Julie covers her mouth as she opens the door and walks into the hallway.
"Poor girls. But that sounds so familiar. Like, I've seen it in a movie." says Julie.
"I know what you're talking about. Stab, right?" She watches Julie nod. "Well, this isn't a movie; some girls in Woodsboro actually died like that."
"Oh jeez, I almost forgot Stab was real.." says Julie walking to her locker. A short dark haired boy walks up to the girls with a book in his hand.
