Auston had never spent a night with anyone at his apartment. He hadn't even planned on asking Nora to stay—he didn't want her thinking all he cared about was getting her into his bed. It was the furthest thing from the truth. While Auston loved sex as much as anybody, there were a million other things he would have loved even more with this girl. And one of those things was definitely seeing her in his Maple Leafs t-shirt, her hair pulled up into a ponytail as she sat on the bathroom counter and waited for Auston to finish opening the spare tooth brush he'd promised her.

"That shirt looks way better than the Bruins one you were wearing the other day," he remarked, handing the toothbrush over to her.

Nora rolled her eyes and tugged the hem a little further down on her thighs. It was basically a dress on her, so she waved him off when he offered her a pair of shorts to sleep in. It made Auston weak in the knees. How he managed to keep his hands to himself was beyond him.

Once they had finished brushing their teeth, Nora, still perched on the bathroom counter, caught Auston by the shirt. She tugged him between her legs, the front of his thighs now pressed to the counter's edge. He kissed her softly and asked, "You ready for bed, beautiful?"

Auston still couldn't believe that he got to kiss her like this—freely and without hesitation. His friends, if they saw it, would almost certainly be chirping that it was so domestic of him, but he couldn't have cared less. Nora was there in front of him, looking the way she looked, and he'd be damned if he was going to pass up a single touch.

Nora, whose fingers were still on his shirt, hesitated. "Can I tell you something?" she mumbled after a moment.

"Of course," Auston replied, resting his palms against the counter on the outside of Nora's legs as he leaned down to kiss her again.

"I've never actually slept with anyone before," she squeaked. Auston's brows went up, and Nora was quick to correct, "No, like actually slept with anyone. Like slept over." She shook her head, cheeks painted red with embarrassment. "I've had sex before, but I—"

Auston cut her off with another kiss and a gentle laugh. "Nor," he breathed, "I haven't either." He rested his forehead against hers before adding, "The actually sleeping with someone."

Nora pursed her lips a moment, considering something. "I also haven't done a lot of the other kind of sleeping with someone," she admitted.

Auston was busy admiring the little freckles on her nose that he could only see when he was so close to her. Once her words had registered in his head, though, he just shrugged. "That's okay," he assured her.

It was true: Auston didn't care how many people she'd slept with, and it'd be pretty ridiculous if he did.

Still, Nora was visibly nervous as she chewed on her bottom lip, her eyes down on her hands around Auston's shirt. "But you're—like—the Auston Matthews," she noted.

"And?" Auston pressed. "You're the Nora Mallone."

It made her giggle, and Auston couldn't help sliding his hands onto her thighs, soaking up the warmth of her bare skin against his palms. "You know what I mean," Nora chided. "Women fall at your feet."

"I don't care about any woman but you," he countered. He meant it. He was on his knees for Nora. He brought a hand to her cheek, lifting her gaze up to his. "And I don't care how many people you've slept with. I also don't even care if we have sex. I just want you here with me."

Nora nodded slowly. Then, in a soft voice, she inquired, "Can we, though?"

Auston was almost certain he had misheard her. His dick, though, was straining against his sweatpants, confident that it understood exactly what Nora meant. "Can we what?" Auston stammered.

Nora's expression didn't falter. "Have sex," she replied.

Auston's whole body was on fire. Was she serious? Did she actually want to have sex with him? Now?

"Auston," Nora prompted, and Auston hurried to close his fallen jaw. "Did I make it weird?" she asked.

"No, no," he rushed. "I just—I don't want you to think that's why I brought you here." He hurried to shake his head. "Like—we don't have to do anything. I mean—"

Now it was Nora that cut him off with a kiss. She tugged on his shirt to inch herself further forward on the bathroom counter, widening her legs to make room for Auston between them. The kiss was hungry and desperate, like the one they'd shared before the game, only now it felt more meaningful, like there was weight behind it that hadn't existed before.

When Nora pulled back for a moment, she whispered, "I know we don't have to do anything, Matthews." Her hand moved to the front of Auston's sweatpants, and the moment she grazed his dick, Auston was a goner.

"Fuck," he muttered under his breath, attaching himself to Nora's lips again. She gripped him through his pants, her touch pleading as he kissed her harder.

Against his lips, Nora teased, "Is that a yes?"
