"Slow down!" Adelaide yelled at Dallas who was driving 30 miles over the speed limit.

Instead of slowing down Dallas took his hands completely off the wheel. Adelaide screamed and grabbed it. "Dallas what the fuck!?"

Dally laughed and leaned forward, "Common princess, live a little," He whispered in her ear.

Adelaide would be lying if she said it didn't send chills down her spine. "Dallas, i do not have my license, I don't even have my permit, hell I've never even sat in the driver's seat,"

"Calm down babe, I'm driving you're just keepin' us steady."

"Dallas, take the wheel!"

"Alright, alright." He said putting his hands back on the wheel.

He pulled the car into the Dairy Queen on the drive there he had talked her through the french and american revolutions. He was even able to remember specific dates and places. Adelaide was impressed, and confident she would do well on her test. Dallas was a good teacher, he would often pause and make Adelaide repeat what he said with different wording.

"Want anything?" Dallas asked when he pulled up to the window.

"No thanks,"

Dally gave her a look,

"Really, I'm good," She said.

"If you're sure," he said, turning to the window and ordering one chocolate shake and one large fry.

Dallas got his food and pulled away "Here," he said, holding up the fries.

"I'm not hungry," Lie.

"Take a damn fry,"

"Alright jeez," she said, taking one. "Happy?"

"Very, want more?"

"Nope," Lie.

"Try this" He held out his milkshake. "It tastes weird,"

She took the cup but didn't drink any."Why would I try something after you tell me it tastes weird?"

"Just do it man,"

"Bossy bossy," she said, taking a sip. "Yeah, it's weird," She liked her lips trying to figure out the taste. "Mmm, i think it's chocolate and strawberry, "

"Let me try it again."

She held it out to him, "Here, just take it,"

"No can do sweetheart, gotta keep my hands on the wheel," He said looking at her with a smirk.

She grabbed his chin and turned his head forward, "Yeah and eyes on the road,"

"Common, help me out," She rolled her eyes and sighed but obliged. She lifted the cup to his face and he leaned forward and took a sip, "Thanks babe,"

After a couple minutes Dallas lifted his arm and put it around Adelaide. "Your hand isn't on the wheel" She reminded him

"Someone's gotta keep you warm,"

"I have a sweater,"

Dalla kept his eyes on the road but leaned over and put his mouth right next to Adelaide's ear, "Yeah, and it's reeeal thin," he said, his voice low and husky.

He leaned back and Adelaide was suddenly cold without him right next to her.

Over the course of the drive Adelaide found herself slowly leaning into Dally. For warmth of course.

"Where are we?" Adelaide asked.

"Windrixville,"

"Wow, long way from Tulsa,"
