Evelyn POV
It was now the fifth of July, and me, Kyle, Peej, and Baylen were about to leave to go get fireworks to celebrate fourth of July a day late.
Noah had gone back to Georgia a few days prior to spend the holiday with his family.
Having Peej around made me realize how much I truly missed him. I felt at peace with him.
We get in the car, with Baylen driving, Kyle in the passenger seat, and me and Peej in the back.
Normally Baylen had a filmed named Barron, but he was in Georgia.
I was extremely tired because I hadn't gotten any sleep last night because I stayed up editing for Baylen.
Peej sat in the middle seat, and I was behind Kyle with my head on Peej's shoulder.
"Evy's being a tired little bitch cause she didn't sleep last night." Baylen says to the camera that Kyle was holding.
"I stayed up editing for you!" I laugh.
"Guys tell me they don't look awfully coupley," Kyle says as the points the camera at me and Peej. "Her head on his shoulder, she's wearing his hoodie."
"Shut up." Peej laughs as my face reddens.
Peej and I had randomly became kinda flirty with each other over the past few days, and I didn't know why.
The weirdest thing, was how much I didn't mind it. In fact, some of it even had me blushing and smiling, or even having butterflies rush through my stomach.
I was wearing that hoodie he let me borrow more often, and we were getting more and more touchy.
And I couldn't complain at all.
Just then, Peej puts his arm around my shoulder, and I rest against him.
I feel him kiss the top of my head, and I don't think I have ever been as flustered as I was in that moment.
I tried to push down a smile, but was unsuccessful. My face heated up, and my stomach rushed.
We get to the store and by fireworks, and the entire time I never leave Peej's side, and he doesn't leave mine.
We get home, and go out into the backyard.
We light off the fireworks one by one, some going wrong, and unsurprisingly none of us getting hurt.
But even though we were having fun and everything was crazy, I could only focus on one thing. and that was Peej.
Something about the way I felt towards him had changed, and I knew what that was. I just didn't wanna admit it.
Because that thing was the fact i'm falling in love with my best friend.
