first week

The first week of us dating, we kept it private. And I couldn't of asked for anything better.

We had to act like just friends around other people, and Peej would kiss me every second that we were alone, even if it was just a second.

We were all back at the Florida house now, and Peej and I were both now hanging out in my room.

"Baby?" Peej asks. Peej had given me more nicknames than I could count, and I loved every single one of them.

"Yeah?" I ask, with my face reddening. Everything he did still flustered me.

"When do you wanna tell people about us?" He asks us as I hesitate.

I was just worried. Worried that we wouldn't work out, and that if people already knew we were dating we would have to announce us breaking up, and the fact that we were gonna stay friends.

"I don't know." I say.

Silence fills the room for a few seconds, before he speaks again, but this time quieter, and a hint of sadness in his voice. "Do...you think we're not gonna work out?"

"I think we will Peej." I say. "But if we don't, it will be because of me."

"What do you mean?" He questions.

"I think that you deserve someone better." I say as I stare at the ground.

"Evelyn don't say that." He says as I tear up. "Look at me."

He walks up to me, but I don't look at him.

"Evelyn." He says as he tilts my head up using his fingers under my chin. "You're the only one I want, or have ever wanted."

"I don't understand why." I sniffle.

He wraps his arms around me in a tight hug, and I cry into his chest.

"Baby, you're the most perfect girl this world has ever seen." He says. "I couldn't ask for anyone better than you."

"I love you so much Peej." I say without thinking. Then I start to panic. What if he isn't ready?

"I love you more Starry." He whispers as I relax.

"Yo Peej!" Baylen calls from downstairs.

"Yeah?" Peej calls back.

"Wanna run to the store with me?" Baylen asks.

"Yeah! I'll be down in a sec!" Peej replies. "Is that okay?"

"Of course." I smile.

"I'll be back in a bit." He smiles before leaning down and kissing me.

He leaves with Baylen, and as soon as the car pulls out of the driveway, Peej texts me.

I smile looking at the texts, while I feel my face warm up.

Then I realize that I want people to know about us. I want to be able to brag to the world that Peej Mclaughlin is my boyfriend.

We'd most likely start off by telling Baylen, then social media, where the rest of the friend group would find out.

I was home alone, because the group was either out filming or at the store.

Me, Baylen, and Peej would be the only ones at the house until tomorrow, because everyone else was out filming.

Eventually they get home, and Peej comes and finds me upstairs.

"Peej!" I smile as I run up and hug him.

"Hi pretty girl." He smiles as he kisses the top of my head.

"I was thinking." I say as we pull away. "I'm ready to be public about us."

"Really?" He gasps with a smile.

"Yeah." I smile.

"Lets go!" He cheers as I giggle. "I get to brag about dating the most perfect girl in the world."

"Wanna go tell Baylen?" I ask.

"Of course I do." He smiles.

We go downstairs, and find Baylen.

"Hey Baylen?" Peej asks.

"What's up?" Baylen asks.

"Can we talk to you?" Peej asks.

"Sure." Baylen says with a confused tone.

We sit down at the counter together.

"So what's up?" Baylen asks.

I look up at Peej, wanting him to say it.

Peej laces his hand with mine, and Baylen's eyes go wide.

"Evy and I are uh," Peej smiles. "Evy and I are dating."

"No way." Baylen says. "Are you actually?"

"Yeah." I smile.

"Thank god!" Baylen laughs. "We have to celebrate, we're going to the arcade."

"You okay with that?" Peej smiles as he looks down at me.

"Yeah." I smile.
