Evelyn POV

"Hey Ev?" Baylen asks as he walks into my room.

"What's up?" I ask. I was currently sitting at my pc playing COD with Noah, who was in his room playing.

"Wanna watch shrek?" He asks.

"Baylen, we watched it last night." I laugh.

"Yeah yeah, whatever." He sighs as he walks in and sits on my bed, and starts scrolling on his phone. "Ev?"

"Yes?" I ask.

"Can we pretty please go watch shrek?" Baylen begs.

I sigh with a laugh. "Fine."

"Lets go!" Baylen cheers.

We go downstairs, and sit on the couch.

Baylen gets shrek on the tv, and very intently watches it. Baylen and I had seen this movie so many times and both had the entire movie practically memorized.

I see Baylen look behind me and smile, but I don't turn my head, I just assume he's smiling at the star wars decorations around the house. Because god, that man is proud of our decorations.

"How's the movie?" A familiar voice behind me asks.

I jump a little bit, and turn around.

There he is, Peej. My best friend standing right behind the couch I was sitting on.

"Peej?" I ask quietly, and he just nods.

I jump up, and run up to him, and we meet in a tight hug, so tight that Peej steps back a few steps to keep his balance.

"Hi Starry." He whispers.

"Hi Pj." I smile as tears of happiness pour down my cheeks.

I missed his hugs, his voice, his laugh, his smile, his jokes, I missed him. I missed Peej.

"I thought you weren't gonna be able to fly up for another two weeks?" I ask as I pull away and wipe my tears.

"Some tickets opened up, so we decided to surprise you." He smiles.

I sniffle and wipe my tears, and he just hugs me tightly.

"Alright alright, enough flirting." Baylen teases.

"Now we get to deal with them saying we're dating." Peej smiles.

"Maybe you should go back to Georgia." I tease as he jokingly gasps.

I help Peej take all of his stuff to the guest bedroom, which is practically his room.

"How long are you staying?" I ask.

"About two and a half weeks, but Baylen said you guys might fly to Georgia with me after." Peej replies.

"Hopefully." I smile.

He lays down on the bed and goes on his phone, and looks at me.

He smiles as waves his hand, telling me to come lay down.

I was laying flat on my back with my head on the mattress while scrolling on my phone, while Peej was next to me, sitting up against the headboard.

He runs his hands repeatedly through my hair and tucks it behind my ear, comforting me. I loved his touch.
