⚠️ SMUT WARNING ⚠️

The next morning she found herself still tangled in Aaron's arms. One hand was placed on his chest, while the other was laced with him. Her face was at the base of his throat, close enough to kiss should she want it. His close-cut beard brushed her forehead as she pulled back to look at him.

She traced his jawline as he slept, her heart fluttering as a small smile graced his lips. She felt as if she could live in that moment forever; the moment between her finger brushing his beard and the smile appearing. It was soft and simple, but it felt like everything. At that moment, she felt beautiful, not because she actually was, but because even while he was asleep her touch could cause a smile, and that was more than enough for her.

His eyes fluttered a few times, adjusting to the morning light. He always did prefer the darkness. It was his comfort place. Feeling her thumb graze back and forth over his cheek, he lowered his eyes to her.

"We need to get up." She whispered. "I can already hear the others waking."

"I know." Grabbing her hand, he kissed the inside. "You get ready, I'll head to my room. Training in an hour."

Turning onto her back, she watched him gather his clothes and change. Pouting at the view of his chest being covered. Keeping her eyes on him as he walked closer, she pushed herself onto her knees. Wrapping her arms around his neck. No words were exchanged much like last night. Instead, they both leaned in pausing for a moment, before kissing. It was a simple kiss. Not looking to ignite anything, but in need of comfort.

Walking out of her room, she frowned at seeing everyone gathered around the catwalk, stairs, and main floor. Standing between Draco and Eva, she gripped the railing and looked down. Three death eaters kneeled on the floor. Voldemort paced in front of them with Nagini a few paces away.

"What's going on?" Athena asked Eva.

"They went against the dark lord's orders." Eva whispered back.

She frowned. "What orders?" But the woman shrugged. "Does this have anything to do with the attack that happened at the Weasleys?"

Eva raised a brow. "How do you know about that?"

She mentally cursed herself. "I'm friends with Hermione Granger. It just sort of happened. She sent a letter and told me all about it."

"I don't know." Eva looked over at Aaron, who stood with the crowd at the bottom.

She was aware of the wedding with the Weasley family. It was what drove some of the death eaters to attack. Many of their enemies would be attending giving them the perfect surprise attack. Voldemort had asked her to go look for their missing members after they failed to return from the ministry. The group had followed the message ball, regardless of Voldemort's ordering not to. What she found was not something she imagined. Every death eater was found dead. Knowing who did it wasn't hard for her to figure out. She knew only one man that preferred the knife when taking a life. Fortunately for them, Voldemort didn't.

"I gave orders to not attack, did I not?" Voldemort stopped his pacing at not getting a response. "Did I not?!"

"Y-yes my lord." The middle man whimpered.

The dark wizard repeated 'yes' with a chuckle. "In disobeying my order not only did you lose me, men. You put them on high alert. My surprise attack is no longer a surprise!"

"For-forgive us, my lord." The woman cried. "We knew where Potter was. We wanted to-"

"Potter is mine!" Voldemort yelled. "His life is mine to take! Mine alone!" His dead eyes scanned the crowd, landing on the young witch on top. A sinister smile appeared on his lips. Walking to the bottom of the stairs, he held his hand out and called her name. "Come, child."
