It's not a long or exciting chapter, but I needed a fill-in. The next one will be a few days before the next school year starts.

Anyways enjoy:

Next chapter:

I was shocked to say the least. What the hell was he doing here?! Was he one of them? Did he join them? "Ian, wh-what are you doing here?"

"Oh, just running an errand for my dad. He has some business with Mr. Malfoy." Ian stepped down beside me, sitting next to me. "But I have to ask the same. What are you doing here?"

I couldn't tell him. One, it wasn't something I wanted to bloat about. Two he wouldn't keep his mouth shut. And three, he was no one to me. "I can't say."

"Hmm, alright then." He jumped to his feet. "But it wouldn't be a surprise if you were to tell me you have joined the death eaters."

"What?!" The nerve of this idiot. "I didn't join them!"

"So what, you have accepted Malfoy's proposal?" Ian asked.

"You're an idiot." I growled.

Ian crouched down in front of me, taking my hand in his. "Listen, I have screwed up big time in the past year or so. My life is a mess and if it hadn't been for you, I would probably be dead somewhere. I know you Athena. I know you live that husband of yours and your friends. So for whatever the reason you are here for, I really hope it was worth it."

"It was. It is." I whispered. "This is going to cause a storm. One I don't see myself free."

"I know you joined them, Athena." Ian whispered. "I walked in just as you did the pact. I was shocked, but like I said I know who you are." He reached for my arm, exposing the death mark. "This isn't you. This mark was not made to stain your arm." He pulled my sleeve back down. "I know I ruined the little friendship and trust you had in me, but I hope I can win that back someday."

"It's going to take more than nice words for that Ian." I pulled my arm out of his grip.

"I know." Ian mumbled. "But it's a start if I say so myself."

"You're the only one saying it." I scoffed.

Ian mimicked back my words in a childish way. "Anyways, I have to go. I have to get back to my dad. See you around."

I watched him take his leave, driving down the driveway. I didn't know what the hell that was, but I didn't like it. Something about his was off. Ian was never this caring; the dude was a jerk. Come to think about, why the hell did I ever think I fell for him. I must have been temporarily insane. Yeah, that's the only reason.

"Are you Athena?'

I glanced behind me spotting an older woman in all black, glaring down at me. "Who's asking?"

"You are coming with me." She ordered.

I raised a brow at her tone. She clearly didn't know who she was messing with. "I don't know about you, but I was taught never to leave with strangers." She gave me bored look. "Stranger danger."

"You have been ordered by the dark lord to accompany us on a mission." She replied.

"Ordered?" I scoffed. That man lost no time, did he? "Where are we going?"

"No need to worry about the small details." She replied.

I frowned. "Small details? I believe the destination is actually one of the biggest details."

"Listen, we are just doing a job." She snapped. "You are coming with us, because that is what was ordered."

"Are you always this uptight?" I jumped to my feet, dusting the dirt off my pants. "Do I need to take anything?"
