Stanley woke up, he was a bit jarred as the last thing he remembered he was with the Narrator at the freedom ending. 'the Parable must have reset us' he gathered. Stanley looked up 'you there, Narry?' he asked, the Narrator hummed "I'm here, Stanley" Stanley smiled 'just checking' he said as he turned to his computer and went on Tumblr. Once he finished his post he posted it and left his office.

"All-" Stanley interrupted him 'Narry, I'm fed up of this...' the Narrator sighed "I know, Stanley..." Stanley looked down 'can I see you again?...' Stanley asked, the Narrator chuckled softly "Well you can try...I know the code chances after every reset..." Stanley groans 'why can't things just be easy!...' Stanley complained 'I'll try anyway...' he added "Alright..." the Narrator answered as Stanley made his way to the cargo bay.

Stanley climbed over the railing, landing on the shelve, and jumping down to the bottom. Stanley went to the Narrators door. He put in the code but this time the keypad went red, telling Stanley he only had 3 tries remaining. 'What!? that is so unfair!' he thought to himself. Stanley sighed as he put his head on the door 'it...didn't work...' he told the Narrator. The Narrator sighed "Yes, I expected that...it works randomly...I think" He said, actually not know how it all worked. Stanley banged his fist on the door, it made the Narrator jump "Stanley-"

'We can't just except this! You're trapped, Narry!' Stanley argued, the Narrator sighed "Yes, I know that, Stanley...and for now we just can't see each other..." The Narrator got up and put his head and hand on the door, like Stanley. "But...maybe the next one it'll work and if not that one, then maybe it'll be the next...but for now just go through an ending and reset" Stanley sighed 'so close yet so far...' he thought to himself as he pulled himself away from the door 'Alright...' he said as he looked around the cargo bay. 'I'm already in here so I might as well do that apartment ending with the fake wife, again' he added as he made his way to the cargo bay lift, he got on it and it started to move.

"Want me to stay on script then?" the Narrator asked and Stanley shrugged 'actually? does that mean the whole 'daydreaming is bad' thing apart of the script?' he asked. The Narrator hummed "Yes, I personally do not like the trick at the end it is pretty tasteless"

As Stanley got to the room with the ringing phone, the Narrator was in the middle of his dialogue, when Stanley noticed the plug to the phone 'huh?...was that there before?' he wondered as he walked over to it and unplugged it.

"Oh no no no no! You can't- Did you just unplug the phone?" Stanley looked away 'maybe' he said as he felt like a child getting told off. "No, that wasn't supposed to be a choice. How did you do that? you actually chose incorrectly? I don't even know that was possible."

Stanley started to feel nervous, he was afraid he actually did something wrong. 'this is an ending, right?' Stanley asked, and the Narrator stopped saying his lines, "Oh, Stanley..." He said as he chuckled softly, seeing that the ending must have been making him nervous. "it is scripted" he said, trying to reassure him, as he tapped the script on the table so the mic could pick it up. Stanley sighed, feeling a bit better knowing he didn't actually do anything wrong. "If you ever need me to confirm whether something is scripted or not, just ask. I'll drop my act and tell you" he let Stanley know, Stanley smiled 'thank you...you can continue' he said, happy to continue now he knew it was all scripted. The Narrator cleared his voice "Alright...let me double check" he said as he moved his script about "No, it's definitely here, clear as day. Stanley picks up the phone. He's taken to his apartment where he find his wife ad the two pledge themselves to one another. Music comes in, fade to white, roll credits." Stanley rolls his eyes 'we both know that isn't what actually happens' he said to himself, as he knew this whole thing was scripted. "Not picking up the phone is actually somehow an incorrect course of action. how is that even possible? None of these decisions were supposed to mean anything. I don't understand. How on earth are you making meaningful choices? What did you- Wait a second. Did I just see- No, that's not possible, I can't believe it. How had I not noticed it sooner? you've become sentient." the Narrator sighed as Stanley was confused 'sentient? I've been sentient since I first woke up' Stanley commented.
