YUI TRAVERSES THE CARPETED PATH, TREADING CAREFULLY.
"Yui... I don't think there could be any entities under the carpet," Spirit ventures. "Either way, you seem to have incredible luck."
"How so, Spirit?" Yui continues to walk. "It's Door 018, now Door 019-" she swings the door open, and performs the usual look-up to check if the lights flicker, diminish, or glitch- except there wasn't any light at all. "We've had, what, five dark rooms... Make it six, now." She pulls out a lighter, then sighs. The room is much bigger than the others, with four visible doors and the locked one- which was probably the one that lead into the next room- was hidden behind a huge stack of wardrobes.
"And this room is locked as well as confusing," Yui sighs, running her hand across the wardrobes. They're for hiding. From the entities.
"I mean ...this room's called a Parallel Room." Spirit snaps, illuminating the correct doors; exhaling softly as she adds, "Plus, it's Door 019, and we haven't run into anyone yet."
"Hush!" Yui waves her arms in the air, then continues rummaging in the drawers. "You'll jinx it."
"Jinx...?" Spirit wonders.
As Spirit began pondering what the actual heck a 'jinx' was, Yui opens a lit door. The door leads into a hallway, ending at the other side of the room, where the locked door is. "This is a funky room," she decides, "but I got another lighter and more of these drugs. Wonder what they do?"
She opens a drawer, and finds the key. "Yes!" she cheers, "That's a record! Spirit, I got it- oh."
"Yui? Yui! Why are you on the floor- YUI!"
﹌﹌﹌﹌
It is dark. Lightning occasionally illuminates the floor-length windows, as someone in the shadows takes an item out.
It's a flashlight. The sharp beam of light is a stark contrast to the shady aura of the room. The person in the shadows turns out to be... Yui?
What in the world is happening?, she thinks. Unable to move on my own. A familiar place. Pre-coordinated actions. This seems to be a sort of illusion, or memory.
She's right, but no one confirms it for her. She walks out the door, and finds-
"EEK!" she shrieks. "An- an eye?"
She shines the light of her torch into the eye, trying to study it. A screech resounds, from somewhere deeper within the Hotel.
"O-oh, sorry!" She switches out the torch for a lighter. The softer rays provide protection and light.
On another note, the eye- which had snapped shut due to the sudden light- slowly blinks open and glares at the girl. Flinching, she apologizes once more. It seems to have a little effect, as the sharp gaze softens. Yui stares at the eye. Surrounding it is a black, goopy substance straight out of a horror movie. The eye seems to have cracked the wall.
"Eh? How curious," Yui mumbles.
The eyes multiply in number as the rooms go on, until-
"There aren't any eyes here," muses the girl, looking at the long hallway. "Nothing bad is going to happen... is it?"
She's probably jinxed it. However, nothing happens, until she reaches the end...
"AH! WHAT THE ACTUAL FU-!? MYSTERY DRUGS, HELP ME OUT???"
﹌﹌﹌﹌
"Yui! You're awake!" Spirit sighs in relief. "It's been a while."
"Oh my Archon," Yui groans, "Did I eat those drugs or something?"
Yui looks around. Sprit is nowhere to be seen.
"...Spirit, the lights didn't flicker while I was out... right?"
"About that."
"SHIT!"
Yui takes off, slipping the mystery drug into her hand. As she dashes through the door, she's faced with a hallway... a long one. WIthout a single hiding spot. The screeching- doesn't sound like that Rush guy, she remembers- which was really low, is slowly getting louder. She bites a pill, and is instantly revitalized. She feels like she's become faster than Venti when he hears of free wine.
"Mystery drugs give you speed boosts?" she wonders, as her feet carry her at new record speeds through the door and into a new room.
The new room thankfully has a cupboard, and she yeets herself in, shutting the doors with a *clack* as a green light becomes visible. A figure, with long, green-tipped white hair flies past. They seem female, but are moving too fast to check. Yui sighs as they disappear into the next room. She opens the doors, but hears the screeching again.
"Wha- OH, GODDAMNIT!" she swears, as the green light returns on the other side of the room. It seems as if the entity rebounds. Quickly, she closes the wardrobe's doors as the identified-as-female entity returns. She stays in, fearful that the entity would rebound again. And she was quite right. The entity makes a turn, whooshing past.
But, as you know, you cannot hide forever. That is simply cheating.
Yui feels a presence behind her. She whispers, "Dafuq are you doing here, unnamed entity?"
The entity covers her eyes, startling her. Right into her ear, they whisper, "Get out."
"Kinda rude," she mutters, as the entity outside flies past. "But, as you can see, someone's attempting to kill me."
"Get out."
"I suppose you'd like to help them?" she snarks, holding the doors shut tightly and pressing her back to the entity- softly, but firmly. Whoever the entity was, and whatever they wanted to do, she didn't want them to feel too uncomfortable.
"...out," the entity replies, sounding a little embarassed. However, contrary to their demeanor- and true to their words- the entity shoves Yui out.
"I'm Hide," the entity whispers cheekily. "See you next time, if you'll remember."
"Hoe," Yui swears, as she falls... on top of someone?
