You were getting tired of Cabal's ship. Always the same damn metallic walls, doors and roofs, no more than that. For that reason Cabal would make small stops in different planets during the journey.

"Come one, you need to stretch your legs, don't you?" He said, motioning the door. You quickly rushed out, only to find the most beautiful of planets. Everything was colorful and shiny and all the people seemed nice and kind.

"What's this planet's name, Cabal?" You asked him as you jumped in excitement. "I don't know, I've never been here" He admitted. In front of your eyes there was a crowded market.

You could hear the screams of the merchants announcing their products and all the kind people apologizing after bumping with each other.

Cabal walked inside the market, you followed close behind. Many of the inhabitants of the planet stared at both of you with curiosity.

"Why are they all staring at us?" You whispered to Cabal. "Maybe because we're newcomers..." Cabal seemed on edge, but he tried to hide it. You kept walking behind him, until you came to a stop when you witnessed a little shop that sold gems and other sorts of jewelry.

Your eyes landed on a shiny crystal that seemed to change colors. "Good afternoon friend! I see you're very interested in this beautiful gem" The friendly merchant in charge of the shop exclaimed.

You nodded your head. "How does it change its color?" You asked. "No one knows why. It only appears in this planet and no one has been able to discover why it does this" The merchant explained.

"How much is it?" Cabal appeared from behind you. The merchant kindly told him the price and immediately, Cabal took a bunch of coins out of his pocket.

"Have a nice day you two! You make a beautiful couple!" The seller waved. Cabal looked away from you after hearing the man's words.

"Here, take it" He handed you the crystal. "You bought it for me?" You looked at him in the eyes. "I... Stop asking so many questions... Of course I bought it for you!" He blushed.

"Thank you!" You replied. Both of you kept walking in silence through the market, following a path of sand. After walking for a while, exploring around, Cabal decided it was time to return to the ship and continue the long journey.

You followed behind him as he made his way to his vehicle and once you were there, you went inside and shortly after, the machine was flying again.

As Cabal piloted you stared at the crystal he got for you. The crystal turned red, then orange, then yellow. It kept changing colors and the sequence repeated over and over.

You lifted your head to look at the alien that took you as a captive. To be his prisoner, he treated you awfully well. He took you to see new places and bought you stuff from these. He also complimented your beauty and your intelligence often.

Maybe being captive wasn't so bad after all. Maybe you weren't just a captive to him.

Maybe you weren't just a captive to him
