IRENE

What was I thinking? I thought as I scrolled through my messages with Lisa for the hundredth time.

This is one reason why I stay away from alcohol as much as I can. I'm not used to doing stupid things. I'm usually the person who prevents others from embarrassing themselves, not the other way around.

Just thinking about what might have gone through Lisa's mind when I sent those messages and pictures, makes me want to shrink and hide under a rock. I had barely gotten over attempting to kiss her the last time and now, this.

I tapped on the photo she sent in response to mine; a selfie of her making a sad face with a message that read:

Lalisa: Sad I'm missing out. Don't have too much fun drinking without me, unnie.

A tiny smile managed to creep into my forlorn expression as that cute doll-like face stared back at me from the screen. I sighed and let my head fall back against the cushioned seat.

Get a grip, Bae Joohyun.

"Unnie!" I almost sprang out of my seat when Yeri came barging in.

"Yah!" I held my chest, startled by the sudden intrusion. "Don't you know how to knock?"

"Why would I? This is OUR waiting room." She chuckled. "Anyway, Jennie's looking for you."

I assumed my previous position and closed my eyes. I love Jennie and I know it's her last stage but I would much rather wallow in my embarrassment alone at the moment.

"Come on, unnie." Yeri whined. "We still have a few hours before we go onstage. Let's hang out with them for a while."

Them? I found myself suddenly at attention. Are her members with her? Is Lisa here too?

She grabbed my arm with both hands and attempted to pull me up. I eventually resigned, letting our persistent maknae drag me out of our waiting room and into Jennie's.

I have to say, despite being nervous about possibly seeing Lisa after my drunken insensibility, I was quite disappointed to find that "them" turned out to be Nayeon and Sana. It's not that I don't like them, I adore Twice. I'm just disappointed because they weren't the ones I was expecting to see.

"Whoa! I can't believe we're all promoting almost at the same time. We should convince our companies to synchronize our comebacks, so we can do this more often." Nayeon laughed.

"I know right. I'm almost done with my promotions though. I only have Village Survival after this and then it's hiatus era for me." Jennie tittered.

Right when I was about to ask where her members were, Jisoo came bursting in. Her presence never failing to fill the room with good energy. "Special delivery!"

I watched the door expectantly but no one followed after her. I was quick to hide my dismay and make terms with the possibility that she may have come alone, but then...

"Yah Jisoonie! A little help would be nice!"

My heart missed a beat when Lisa appeared. She was wearing a red oversized bleached dyed check shirt over her white tank top and tracksuit trousers. The round specs she had on added to the charm of her tomboyish ensemble. Her hands were full, carrying the bags of food Jisoo didn't help her with.

"Oh." She muttered when she looked up and found there were people other than Jennie and her team. I almost laughed at how adorably surprised she looked.

"You carried it all the way here, you can carry it a few more steps to this table." Jisoo jested. She and Yeri were already seated and chatting away excitedly.
