"I don't wanna go," Yeonjun mumbled under his breath, he was reading his mom's text. She asked what time he was going to be back home.
They finished watching the drama, and it was already late at night. His head lay on top of Soobin's chest, he's been playing with his hair for some time already.
"Then don't go," Soobin whispered. His voice was unstable because they didn't talk much for hours, too immersed in watching the drama.
"I have to get ready before leaving with Bumjune," Yeonjun shook his head.
"Then you'll leave in the morning, no need to go now," Soobin explained, his face determined.
"Fuck," Yeonjun got up to the sitting position suddenly. "I forgot to ask Beomgyu to babysit Hyein. My parents won't be home 'til evening. He's probably sleeping now and will be sleeping until noon. Fuck."
Then, you're canceling the plans? It's what Soobin wanted to say with a big grin plastered to his face, however, his dignity didn't let him do it. Instead, he dug a grave under himself.
"I can do it, I already met her this morning during breakfast, and if she feels uncomfortable, I'll just ask... Kai to come over. They're familiar," Soobin suggested, scolding himself in the head.
Yeonjun turned to him, he was visibly happy. His smile was big, his eyes sparkled, and he looked adorable with his messy hair, thought Soobin. Yeonjun suddenly threw himself on the other's body and hugged him, wrapping his arms around his neck.
"I'll leave early and tell her about you. Thank you, Soobin." Yeonjun was so close to him, that his ear tickled at the sudden whisper. "I'm falling asleep." Yeonjun buried his head in the empty place between Soobin's neck and shoulder.
Change your clothes at least was what Soobin had in mind, but wouldn't dare to break that moment. He put his arms around Yeonjun's waist hesitantly. He saw his body flinch at the sudden movement, so instead, he put his hands higher, on Yeonjun's back.
While falling asleep, Soobin realized he started becoming self-conscious of what he could say or do next to him. Thinking so much was a struggle for Soobin. He also realized his father could have been right all that time. Because what Soobin wanted to do with Yeonjun was not friend-like anymore.
He was falling for real.
The next morning Yeonjun woke up with a slight headache. The room was stuffy, his face so sweaty that the hair got stuck to it. However, he felt the greatest warmth from the back, as he was embraced in a tight hug. Soobin was still asleep, his hands were wrapped around Yeonjun's waist.
Yeonjun slowly opened his eyes, and the scorching sun made its way to him blinding him for a moment. He groaned and tried to turn, but the arms stopped him in motion. He realized he was being hugged and couldn't move. He bugged Soobin in the chest with his elbow. However, he sighed and pulled him closer, his lips next to Yeonjun's ear. With every breath, it was getting more difficult for Yeonjun to lie still.
He would have been the happiest man alive in different circumstances, being so close to his childhood crush. However, how could he be happy being hugged by Soobin all night, while he was having a date the very same day with another man? He felt confused, wrong, and guilty, but he tried to excuse this situation to himself as their friendly sleepover.
"S-soobin, please wake up," he said while giggling, because of the tickling feeling in his ear. "I have to go now..." Only then, Soobin slowly opened his eyes. Realizing he was holding Yeonjun the entire time, he let him go immediately.
"Oh, sorry," he apologized and scratched his head. "Fuck, it's so hot," he complained, while Yeonjun got up from the bed searching for his shirt, which he took off in the middle of the night.
