"So, how should we clean this up?" Gabbe asked in a small voice, an innocent look plastered on her face. Cam faltered as he drank in the sight of Abel's mangled corpse, which was little more than soup upon the ruined bed.
"I uh. . ." Was all he could manage, a frown darkened his brow.
"This is your job Cam, you should know-"
"-I've got to be honest here Gabs, I don't think I've ever seen something quite like this."
Cam hadn't - Abel's body was unrecognizable as a human being. Only the remaining two hands and feet that lay untouched even hinted the ominous red goop had once been a human.
"The sun is coming up, they're going to wonder where he is! They'll be looking soon-"
Cam stalked forward and began to pluck the fitted sheet from the end of the bed.
"-Where's his other foot?" Cam asked Gabbe, who looked at him with alarm.
"I don't know!"
"You were holding his feet-"
"-I know that Cambriel! I was upset I don't know what I did with it!"
"You Angelics are always so impulsive, I mean look at this mess! A Demonic would never-"
"-That's the point of going together! I expected you'd stop me before I went too far!" Gabbe waved her hands in exasperation as Cam began to pluck the fitted sheet from the top of the bed, before tossing the blood soaked pillows into the Centre of it.
Gabbe ducked down and began to wave her arm under the bed in a frantic manner. Eventually, she breathed a sigh of relief and emerged with Abel's missing ankle, which she tossed unceremoniously into the heap.
"Oh babe, there was no stopping you. Not unless you like Cambriel soup." Cam chuckled, and began folding the sheets and blankets into a large ball on the bed, laughing a little louder when he caught sight of the waterproof mattress cover.
"What do you suppose he's had this for?" He asked Gabbe, who started at the cover in disbelief.
"I don't-"
"-Surely not for Weathervanes? I didn't think she'd be a-"
"-Cam, I don't think he's ever given that poor girl an orgasm, let alone-"
"-I'd rather not think about it."
"You're right sorry, I know that she. . ." Gabbe leant forward and began to pull the mattress cover up. Incredibly, the mattress was pristine beneath it.
"Must be our lucky day." Cam remarked with a devilish grin, as he wound the ball of sheets and corpse around, tightening it as though it was a large trash bag, which he tossed carelessly to the floor.
Gabbe turned her gaze upwards to the roof and gulped. It was smattered with tissue and blood, the plaster had begun warping in several places from the moisture. There was no cleaning this, no matter what Cam said. Never mind the walls, which were not far from the ceilings condition.
Cam didn't appear phased at all, instead he continued smiling at her with that annoying, Demonic grin.
"This isn't funny!" Gabbe's voice was panicked, eyes darting around the room as she wracked her brain for a plan.
"Do you forget Gabs?"
"Forget what?" She spat, riling through the draws for clothing to use as rags, they had to make a start somewhere.
Cam snapped his fingers, Gabbe reeled back in shock. It wasn't possible, it just wasn't. The room appeared exactly as it had when they entered. Pristine walls, clean bright ceiling, the bed was even made once more, with the same sheets - This wasn't possible.
