"I WASN'T ALWAYS LIKE THIS"
the child stated while playing with their worn down clothing, "I used to be like all the other kids, I even had a better home". The e/c child smiled at the small memory of their old home, "I didn't mean to make anyone angry, I just needed food to survive and give to the other kids like me".
This made Bruno frown in thought and cause a look of worry to cross his features, the e/c child took notice of this and quickly explained: "Oh don't worry, they're all in better homes now, I made sure of it". They finished with a little proud smile, Bruno smiled at the innocence and selfishness of the child.
"I understand what and why you did what you did kid, but not everyone is okay with you taking their stuff from them, some of those people worked to get the food and valuables you took". Bruno explained gently, this made the h/c child look down at their feet and silently scold themself for being so ignorant.
Bruno took notice of the child's behavior and decided on something big, "Hey kid what's your name"? He asked. "It's Y/n" the child mumbled as they yawn a bit, "Hey I think you forgot 'Madrigal' at the end of it". Bruno stated with a smile on his face. Hearing this Y/n looked up in disbelief at Bruno, "Your-your serious, I'll have a h-home?" the child stammered out with a gleam of hope and little tears in their eyes.
Bruno internally awe'd at the sight and opened his arms for a hug, he soon got tackled by Y/n who was happily squeezing the frail man back in the said hug. Bruno let out a chuckle and held onto the h/c child, "Welcome to the family kid." Bruno mumbled and allowed both himself and the child to enjoy the moment of peace, he'd soon have to go tell the news to the rest of the family.
