Neteyam's POV
My father, Lo'ak and I were returning from the hunting trip while we talked about what we had done today, "I'm very proud of you kids, within a short period of time you've been able to improve your hunting skills" my father told us. His words made me feel happy with myself, it wasn't often when he would confess how proud he felt. "Well except for Lo'ak" I said to annoy my younger brother.
He just rolled his eyes which made me laugh, "It's not funny, I thought you were a Palulukan" he defended himself but I kept laughing. While he was hunting, I had subtly approached him and with stealth I jumped towards him making him jump from the sudden surprise. "You should have seen your face, it was priceless" "I could have killed you Neteyam". Ignoring what he was saying I held my stomach since it hurt so much from all the laughter. My father just shook his head at our little fight and smiled.
Finally arriving at the kelku, we saw my mother and Kiri knitting clothes for the family. "How was the hunt?" my mother asked us, "Really good, yet these two wouldn't stop playing around like children" my father replied. Hearing this made my mother smile while shaking her head, she was happy to see us have fun and enjoy our stay in this clan.
Once we had told her everything about our day, I started to put my hunting materials in their respective places. "Neteyam" my mother suddenly called me, "Yes mom?" "Could you go and pick up your sister from her lessons? The eclipse is almost approaching and she hasn't returned home yet" "Of course, where is she?" "She is near the river with the Olo'eykte and her brother, they started today with the classes. You should have seen her this morning, she was so excited about it" she said with a smile on her face.
I began to make my way towards the river and after a long walk, I finally arrived at my destiny. From afar I could see how Azura played with both kids in the river, they were splashing each other with water as Azura run behind them. When she finally caught them she started tickling them all over their bodies until the only thing that could be heard in the forest was their laughter. The scene made me smile, it was such a pure and innocent moment.
Continuing to watch them I suddenly noticed that Azura was no longer by their side, looking around for her she was nowhere to be found. Where is she?, I thought as I kept looking for the young leader. Without expecting it, I felt someone hold me from behind while they put a knife to my neck making me jump at the sudden action. Turning my face a bit I saw Azura, who after realising who I was let go of me and took her knife away from my neck.
"I thought you were a sky person" she explained, visibly relaxing. "You shouldn't spy on other na'vi, it's not polite. Besides I could have killed you, you're lucky I used my knife instead of my arch". "It's the second time today someone has told me the same exact thing" Azura looked at me confused which made me smile.
"I scared Lo'ak today while he was hunting and in his opinion he could have killed me, but I highly doubt so. He was too scared to even react" I laughed and Azura shook her head at me. "Sometimes you can be such a kurkung, thanks Eywa none of us hurt you". "Would you ever be able to harm me?" I asked her out of nowhere and with no hesitation she answered "No, not even if I wanted to" she confessed.
Looking back at our siblings I observed as they continued to play without noticing Azura's absence. "I see they have become good friends" I told Azura while I pointed to both of the oblivious kids who played tag in the river. She looked in the same direction that I was, "Yes, Tuk gets along well with Anek. She is a very sweet and sociable kid" she smiled with her eyes fixed on both children who were still laughing filling our ears with their melodic laughter.
I couldn't help but look at her, she looked gorgeous when she smiled. Seeing how happy she was made me feel complete as if I didn't need anything in this life but being able to see her smile. Her smooth skin, her bright eyes, her soft lips, everything about her was flawless. Being able to be so close to her, to see her like this made me the luckiest na'vi on Pandora.
