Azura's POV

The time to celebrate Rewon Sä'eoio was nearing, I knelt in front of the small wooden table that had all the paint and began to prepare myself for the ceremony when Zygmunt entered my kelku.

"Azura, can we talk about your decision?". Rolling my eyes I turned around to be face to face with him "What is there to talk about Zygmunt? I have already decided and I won't back down" "Azura letting these people in will be our clan's doom, they can find help any other place but not here. Let them stay for a few days if you wish, but they must leave before the demons know they are here"

"Zygmunt" I sighed, tired from his paranoia "With Toruk Makto by our side and the help of the Metkayina we can defeat the sky people and finally free ourselves from their terrifying reign. I do this because it is what I think is best for my people". His face showed disagreement, turning his head to the side he pursed his lips and let out a grunt.

"The Metkayina?" he laughed ironically "The Metkayina are dead because they blindly accepted to help Toruk Makto's family, do not be dumb and fix this before our fate becomes the same as theirs". His words left me stunned, I could understand his concern but not his behaviour. Why is he so upset by this? I thought.

I stood up and walked to him so I could hold his hand. "I know you are worried about the safety of the clan, but still you should not fear, if any harm threatens us I will make them leave. Besides, this has not only been my decision it is Eywa's will. We all saw the atokirina" looking into his eyes I tried to ease his preoccupation but it had no effect, he was as paranoid as the moment he came here.

He let go of my hand and started walking around my kelku. "Can't you see how you are endangering the people or are you too stupid?" "Do not insult me Zygmunt" I said starting to get angry at his attitude. "I will insult you as many times as necessary if it is what it takes for you to stop being so stubborn and start thinking clearly. THESE PEOPLE ARE GOING TO KILL US AZURA!" His eyes were wide open and his breathing had quickened to recover from the lost air.

"I AM YOUR OLO'EYKTE, IT IS I WHO IS IN CHARGE OF THE LI'ONA CLAN" I raised my voice as I brought my face closer to his until there was hardly space between them. "So show some respect and obey your leader". Separating myself from him I walked back to the table and returned to my preparations for the ceremony.

"Azura I didn't mean to..." he said in a low tone trying to make up for yelling at me. "Don't. Go fetch Anek, I need to prepare him for Rewon Sä'eoio" I replied without looking at him. After a few seconds I heard him coming out of my kelku, his footsteps were fast and loud letting me know he wasn't happy with our conversation.

I gripped the white paint and dipped my right hand inside it. Taking the perfect amount of paint I started to draw lines on my face and my upper body. Then I repeated the same thing with the red and the orange paint changing the patterns to do my ceremonial body painting.

Shortly after I finished doing my hair Anek came and hugged me from behind "Kaltxì tsmuke". A big smile appeared on my face as I stroked his arms to show him affection. "Are you excited? It is your first time playing the drums with the clan's orchestra" turning to look at his face I noticed his nervous expression.

"Do you think I'll do well Azura?" he asked me with tender eyes. I caressed his face softly to relieve his nerves "Of course Anek, you will be the best drummer in our clan" at this he cracked a smile and hugged me again with all his strength. "Now sit so I can paint your face and brush your hair"

Once both of us were prepared we headed towards the Eampin mountains on Sayuri, my Ikran. We reached the top of the mountain where my people awaited my arrival. As I walked the clan members moved apart allowing me to get to the border of the top while bowing to show me their respect.
