Azura's POV
After an exhausting day full of duties, I finally arrived at my kelku to get some rest. Eloide should have dropped my brother off at noon to continue with her chores, so Anek should be desperately waiting for me to arrive. Knowing that I was going to spend the rest of the afternoon with my brother made me happy. Once I was inside, I searched for him. "hì'i tsamsiyu?" I said not seeing him in our kelku. Looking around, there was no sight of him. "Anek? Where are you?" I asked as I continued to search everywhere in the kelku for him.
The eclipse was nearing and he was supposed to be home a long time ago. "Anek, this is not funny. Stop hiding and get out of where you are hidden" I demanded him, yet I got no answer from my brother. Worried about my brother, I exited our kelku to look for him outside. I screamed his name, but there was still no sight of him. My shouts alerted some of the na'vis that were doing their duties, making them look at me with confused expressions on their faces.
Within the na'vis outside, I saw Eloide. Running towards her, I asked about Anek."Eloide" I said, interrupting her pace. "Do you know where my brother is? I've been searching for Anek everywhere, but I can't find him". She shook her head, "No, my Olo'eykte. I left him at your kelku like every afternoon and I haven't seen him since" she replied. Her answer made me even more worried. I had no idea where he could be, which meant that if something happened to him, I wasn't going to be able to protect him.
There were just a few hours left until the eclipse. If Anek wasn't home in time, darkness would soon come diminishing his chances of returning to me. Imagining my brother alone in the night surrounded by dangerous creatures made my stomach turn. He was defenceless in the face of the forest's danger. I hope I'm just being delusional and he is fine, I thought.
"Eloide. I want you to give a search warrant, I want my brother home before the eclipse" I ordered the female with a serious tone. "Yes, Olo'eykte" she answered and quickly left to warn the clan's warriors. Looking at her as she left, I closed my eyes to calm my anxiety. "Anek, where are you?" I whispered to myself, massaging my temple in circular motions to relieve some stress.
Unanticipatedly, I felt a hand resting on my shoulder. "Azura, what happened?" a male voice asked concerned. Turning around, I was now face to face with Zygmunt. "Anek is missing, I can't find him Zygmunt". His face changed entirely into a worried expression. "We'll find him. Let's go for our Ikrans. He probably isn't too far from here" he said to comfort me and I just nodded without answering.
Flying on Sayuri over the forest, I continued to search for my brother with Zygmunt by my side. Hours passed, but we weren't able to find him. Once we were back to the clan's land, I was hoping to hear good news about the search. "Was there any luck?" I asked one of the clan's warriors, "I'm sorry, my Olo'eykte. We weren't able to find him" he said looking at the floor. "It's fine, thank you all for trying. You can rest now".
Zygmunt accompanied me on my way back to my kelku. I wanted to cry, but I must stay strong in front of my people. They do not deserve to have a weak leader. "Azura, I'm sure he is fine. He is a strong kid. We won't stop looking for him. Let's search around the clan's borders, I'm sure together we will find him" Zygmunt said as he hugged me. Resting my head on his shoulder, I sighed. "It's already dark, he must be very scared right now", "We will find him, I promise" he reassured me as he held my face to make me look into his eyes. I only nodded as a reply, too exhausted to answer.
All of a sudden, we heard someone knocking at the entrance. Turning around, we both saw Neteyam with a sleeping Anek in his arms. "Anek" I sighed, relieved as I walked quickly towards him. Looking at his peaceful face, I caressed his cheek in happiness. Anek was back and he was safe. Neteyam looked confused at me, "He was tired and as I was carrying him home he fell asleep" he explained.
