I cherished and embraced you, through the bitter and the sublime
Our souls entwined, no force to divide
I always prayed that our love you would abide
When the time came, for one of us to die
My pain and sorrow, for you I could scarcely hide
Your memory I carry, like an invisible shield
Praying the Lord, may our love forever heal
Clinging to my faith, and the love so divine
I picture us twined, through the darkness of time
Your presence still lingers, my heart it never mends
My spirit will rest, when with you I am in the end.
