Soft and bruised, a heart of kindness,
That in life strives to find its bliss.
It remains standing even after the damage,
Siding with love no matter the carnage.
Is there worth in this fruitless fight?
It stays alive just for that slight.
The strength to overcome the loves' rust,
Only because of its immense trust.
Soft and bruised, but never breaks,
Not even after a lifetime of mistakes.
It stays alive to love another day,
Restrained, though, like an animal in its cage.
Despite the bruises and pain,
Its will to live remains the same.
This love and care one can't define.
For them, it will stay alive each time.
