~ Y/N POV ~
"Babadook first?" I ask as I held up a variety of horror movies. Jenna had just put the blankets down on the couch as she faces me and nods. "Yes, I love that one." she smiles as she looks around. "I'm going to grab your surprise, don't look." She states with a grin as she grabs one of the bags we had dropped off before hand. This one was the one she had gotten from the gas station. "What could you have possibly gotten me from the gas station?" I chuckle. "You know you didn't have to get me anything, right?" I continue. I didn't understand why she would even get me anything in the first place. Now I felt bad that I hadn't bought her anything. Although- what do you give a celebrity that has everything they could possibly think of? "It's nothing special." She smiles as she hands me the bag. I slowly open the bag as I fish out the items one by one. "You bought us booze?" I chuckle as I put the variety she had bought on the table. "I mean, that wasn't really your surprise. But I thought why not make a party out of it, since I won't really be able to drink or so when I start filming. It's mostly just for fun." Jenna grins. "If you don't drink that's fine too. I mean-" "Oh no I do. I love this beer too. Cherry flavor right?" I smirk. She grins. "Yes. I have a variety to choose from. but that wasn't your surprise. Go on." Jenna points out as she continued to take out the other snacks we had gotten and laid them down on the table in front of us. I dig around it the now almost empty bag. I took out a few boxes at the same time as they felt like the same size. I scan the items in my hand as Jenna had bought me some boxes of the Watermelon Sour patch kids. I look at Jenna with my mouth slightly open. "How-" "You said you really wanted them, so I got them for you." She smiles. "You remembered. You are way too sweet, thank you so much." I beam as I really enjoyed these candies, but also because she actually listened to me and went out of her way to get them for me. "No problem neighbor." She grins with a playful wink. I chuckle as I look back in the bag where I could find some more boxes. "How many did you even get?!" I laugh. "I bought their whole stock." She shrugs. "You didn't have to do that! That's so expensive." I laugh by the idea of her struggling to get all those boxes to the register. "Don't worry about it darling. And they didn't have them at the supermarket, so now you'll have a secret stash." Jenna jokes as she opened the container of grapes and plucked a few off to eat. "You're crazy." I grin as I look at her eating the grapes. "But you like that." She states as she continued to eat the grapes. "I do." I reply without hesitation as I feel my cheeks burn up.
We made ourselves comfortable on the couch with pillows and blankets and put on the Babadook as we made the living room as dark as possible. I loved dark stuff and horror movies but that didn't mean I didn't flinch at all the jump scares. Jenna noticed that I would flinch at all the sudden sounds and movements at the tv. As well as that I noticed that she didn't flinch at all. She wasn't scared of anything. It was kind of crazy. "You good?" Jenna asks as she looks at me right after I flinched of a jump scare. We had cracked open 2 beers already and had eaten some snacks, which didn't really help. "Yeah, Totally. I love being freaked out by a movie." I chuckle as I took a watermelon sour patch kid in my mouth. "I see. You're just scared." She jokes as she looks at me, taking a sip of her beer. "I'm not. The jump scares just get me. Since I don't expect them. That's all." I State with a grin. "I thought you had see this movie already?" Jenna asked.
"I have."
"Then you know what's gonna happen right?"
"Yes.""But you're still scared." Jenna chuckles. I grab a pillow as I smack her with it softly. "Shut up you." I chuckle softly. "You just aren't scared because you know what will happen too." I reply as I look at Jenna who was looking offended. "Is that so? I don't get scared." She states. "We'll see." I grin as I was already planning on how I could scare Jenna. "Oh it's on now Y/n." She smirks as she took a hand full of popcorn.
Another horror movie, 2 beers and a few snacks further we decided to watch another one. We both clearly are night owls, since it was already 12:20 and we weren't even tired yet. "I'm going to get the ice cream. And some spoons. Be right back." I state as I get up as I feel slightly more confident since I had a few drinks. My idea to scare Jenna wasn't great. I was just planning to sneak up to her. I was pretty stealthy tho, so she must not expect it.
