~ Y/N POV ~

A beam of sunlight shining right into my eyes woke me up. I groan as I rub my eyes gently. My mind slowly catching up to what had happened. I shoot up as I look to the other side of the bed. It was empty. I frown slightly. Did I make this all up in my head? Jenna, being my new neighbor. Practicing lines. I look over to my wall, where I could see the drawing I made of Jenna in Scream. Maybe I made this all up after watching scream. Maybe I fell asleep after the movie and just imagined this unthinkable reality for myself. Jenna her lips on mine. Admitting her attraction to me.

I must have imagined it. It couldn't possibly be real. She isn't next to me and she probably never will. This is what my brain always does. Make up the craziest dreams which I would never be able to achieve. Performing my own songs. Become a director and direct a movie. Fall in love with someone who wants me as much as I want them. Impossible.

I get out of bed as I change into some shorts and a oversized shirt since it was already hot in my room. So it must be hot outside too. "Mom? You up?" I shout as I walk downstairs, meeting no one in the kitchen where she usually was already baking something. Knowing her she might be out to the supermarket to get some special type of ingredient for a new recipe. Wouldn't be the first time. I grab some orange juice out of the fridge as suddenly the door opens behind me. "What recipe are you going to be making for breakfast this time mom? Some type of fruit bread again?" I ask with a chuckle without turning to the door. "I didn't make them myself. But I was more thinking about fresh croissants from the bakery." A voice giggles which didn't belong to my mom. I turn around quickly as I face her. It's Jenna. "Sorry for leaving you so suddenly. I borrowed your keys so I could surprise you with breakfast." She smiles kindly as I stare at her. I feel all the color and warmth leave my body as I follow her with my eyes as she lays down the bag of fresh croissants on the table. "You okay Y/n? You look pale." She points out as she gently touches my arm which brought me back to reality. This. Is. Reality. "Yes! Sorry. I just woke up, so I must be a bit fuzzy still." I reply. Jenna grins softly as she lets go of my arm. "No worries. I just want you to be good. So- you good?" She asks with a soft smile as she meets my eyes. I nod. "Good! Yup so good." there it was again. The same awkward Y/n I was before. "Good. Common, eat something. It might help." She suggests as she sat down at the table. "Yes, uh, you want juice?" I ask her as I held up the orange juice I had clearly drank from already. She chuckles. "No thanks. I despise orange juice." She replies with a chuckle. "OH. Uh, water then?" I ask again. Everything to keep the distance between us a little longer. I could feel my heart pounding already, thinking about sitting next to her after believing this wasn't even reality. "Water is fine." She smiles as she places the croissants on the plates. "Water coming right up." I state in a playful tone. Jenna chuckles as she watches me fill a glass of filtered water from the fridge, my hand slightly shaking in the progress. "You okay? You seem nervous about something?"
