~ Y/N POV ~
The taste of her lips still lingers on mine as we made our way through some trees. We got greeted by a beautiful view out on the little town we just ate in. All the street lights looking like small twinkling dots from here. Only I couldn't focus on the view. I could only focus on the view standing right next to me. My hand tingling, my instinct wanting to grab hers.
But before I could do so, she already reached out for mine. "You know, there is a small waterfall close by, leading into a small lake. We could cross two things of your list tonight." She suggests as she softly tugged my hand. My eyes widen slightly by the thought of it. I put that on my list to overcome my fear of heights. But hearing it outloud, made it seem like such a bad idea all of the sudden. "In the dark? And I don't even have any swim wear on right now." I state. Two very valid reasons, but the biggest one was me being afraid. But I didn't want to tell her that. "You're right, you would probably not see a lot of it at this time. And I do like my outfit I have on right now. Wouldn't want to ruin in by jumping off a cliff." Jenna agrees. Relief washes over me as I nod. "Right. That would be a shame. Because I really like your outfit too." I smile. Her lips girl up as her eyes shoot from my eyes to my lips for a split second.
"Good thing I booked us a hotel close by so we can come back tomorrow." Jenna smirks. My eyes widen instantly. "You what?" I let out. "It's a long drive and I'm not driving us all the way back already. I want to explore some more with you. Besides, this is the perfect place to cross some things of your list." She winks as she carefully leads me back down the steep hill. My hand clenches around hers out of fear of slipping and falling again. I was glad it was dark so I couldn't see how far up we were. Since that would have made it even worse. "But I didn't bring any spare clothes- or a bikini or anything." I Continue. " I brought some clothes. And we can also buy some tomorrow. Don't worry to much. I told you. I got you." She states sweetly, squeezing softly in my hand.
"You really don't have too-" my last attempt to get out of the cliff jumping. "I want too. Now shut up and let me treat you on this little get away I planned for you. before I let go of your hand so you can roll down the hill." She jokes playfully as she nudges me softly. I chuckle but I felt fear lurking in the back of my mind. I try to repress that feeling for now as we make our way to the cute hotel Jenna had booked us.
The hotel looked as magical as the restaurant we ate at before. I was excited, nervous but also felt a little overwhelmed. Jenna saw something was up as I looked at the front of the hotel. "Something wrong? You don't like this hotel? We can get another one if you'd like, it's no problem." She suggests. I shake my head. "No, no. It's perfect! It's just- you're spending a lot of money on me. You paid for everything so far and I just feel- I don't know- guilty that I can't do give it back." I explain. "Oh no Mi amor. Money really is no problem for me. I rather spend it to make others happy then to buy crazy stuff like- 5 cars or a 3 houses." She smiles. "I've got a very nice car and a very nice house and I can eat, wear and go wherever I want. And I feel very fortunate that I get to do that. but it's not what I live for and it's not my personality ." Jenna continues. "I feel bad if I don't pay for it since I can miss it. You know?" She explains. I nod. "I will find a way to make it up to you, in my own way." I smile. Jenna her eyebrows raise as she smirks. "JENNA!" I gave her a playful push. She laughs. "I'm joking. And You have nothing to make up for- but I understand what you mean." She smiles. I smile back at her, looking back at the entrance of the hotel.
"Let's check in." Jenna grins as she leads me inside. We had checked in and made our way to our room in no time. It was yet again- beautiful. "Oh I think they gave us the wrong room. I asked for two beds." Jenna points out to the king sized bef. "I heard what you said, about taking things slow. I wanted to respect that so I asked them for two beds, but they didn't-" "it's okay with me." I interrupt her. "If- it's okay with you?" I add with a smile. Her lips curl up as she meets my eyes. "If you are sure? Otherwise I'll ask them for another room." Jenna makes sure. I nod. "I'm sure. I mean, you don't bite. Do you?" I joke. Her mischievous grin appears within a second. "I might." She jokes back. I couldn't help but feel slightly flustered by the idea. "I'm just joking. I promise I will behave nicely." Jenna smirks as she sticks out her tongue at me. "Yeah yeah. You Goofball." I chuckle as our eyes haven't left each others sight yet.
