Elio's POV

|1| I can't believe I gave a fuck. Ren was having a panic attack and I helped him. What's wrong with me? Now he probably thinks I actually care about him. It's not even like Erix was controlling me. I was in control and I did that. Oh for fucks sake.

|2| All I wanted to do was get something and I walked in on that. Wonder what dream he had to get a panic attack. Kinda felt bad for him. Whatever.

|3| I was at the table with my family eating breakfast. I excluded myself from the conversation. My mama still wasn't here, but I saw her walking in a few minutes with Ren. I continued eating my bacon boredly. No phones were allowed at the table so there wasn't anything I could do.

|4| "Elio, Ren, How has your guy's relationship going so far?" My mama asked. I looked up from my food but quickly looked back down. "It's been okay..." Ren answered. I could tell it was a lie from his voice and myself. "Yeah, it's been fine." I also answered.

|5| Ren was served his food and soon began to eat with us. "Ren, do you have any Family?" Mom asked. "I have a mom who died when I was 9 and I don't want to talk about my dad," Ren said. Mom nodded.

|6| "Ren, how long have you been a Rouge?" Mama asked. "Since I was 17 so only for a year," Ren answered with a slight frown. "I'm sorry for intruding but— What is the reason that you are a rouge?" I saw that Ren gripped his fork harder. Touchy subject I guess.

|7| "Um—" His voice broke. "You don't have to answer dear, it could be a sensitive subject." my mama reassured me. She acts like he's a kid, man. Lycus joined in soon. "Ren, you said that you were in the red moon pack before you became a Rouge, isn't the red moon pack a..." Lycus trailed off, Seems like he was trying to remember a word.

|8| Ren grabbed one of his Canerows and looked like he was pulling on it. Like, from the root. His doing that made a bad feeling in my gut appear so for my sake, I grabbed his hand and took it off his hair. He was startled at my probably rare sign of affection.

|9| Mom jabbed Lycus in the side and shook his head which made him drop it.

|10| The rest of the convo was okay and soon we were done with our meal. Today I had to meet up with my friends. I quickly headed to my room to try on clothes. As I was seeing how I looked I realized Ren was staring at me while laying on the bed.

|11| His eyes were full of interest. I didn't even try to look GOD GOOD, I just put on a yellow sweater and sweatpants with a yellow beanie.

|12| "Are you going somewhere?" Ren asked and I sighed. "Yeah. I need to go meet my friends." I answered. "Could I come?..." he asked quietly. I swear, why did he ask this? If I say no, imma be the a-hole! "Uh... I haven't said anything about you and they might get weird if they know you're my mate so it's better if you stay out." I said. It was all lies except they would be weird if they found out he was my mate.

|13| Ren nodded and got up. He walked up to me and hugged me. I felt sparks and I hate to admit it, but it felt good. It was a bit awkward though like he doesn't hug people. "Have a good time with your friends. Maybe I can meet them next time!" Ren said as he pulled out of the hug and sat back down.

|14| I nodded and left. I ran down the stairs and didn't see Anyone. Not Darrin, not Torin, or Arlo. What the hell? I left anyways and met up with my best friends, Lenon, Rosalyn, Demir, and Agni. We were going to the town for the day

|15| They all seemed excited. "We heard you found your mate!" Rosalyn cheered and hugged me. I half-hugged her. "Eh." I said. "What? Do you not like him?" Lennon asked and I nodded. "He's an Omega like me." Which made them all gasp. "Fuck I feel so bad for you! But hey, Darrin is always there and if he isn't, Bryan Shine is there." Agni said as she winked.

|16| I smiled a bit before stretching. "Hey... the moon goddess gave you that mate for a reason, you should probably accept him," Demir muttered. He's always said that. They also say that I shouldn't be with Darrin because he already has a mate for fucks sake. His mate did die a few days after they mated but that doesn't give you a reason to control my love life.

|17| I rolled my eyes at them. "Elio listens, you should probably accept him, it's not like he'd be abusive. He's probably a good choice for you." Demir said. "I would not be caught dead with an omega as a mate." Agni snickered. "I'm being serious! You should appreciate your mate more! Not everyone gets the chance to— "We get it! Your mates dead!" Agni yelled. Demir got quiet, hurt visible in his eyes

|18| "Agni!" Lennon yelled. "Don't say shit like that!" Rosalyn yelled. Agni rolled her eyes. " You're so fucking insensitive sometimes." Demir said as he grabbed his bag and left. Rosalyn followed them, trying to cheer him up.

|19| "Whatever. How would you rate him 1-10?" Agni asked. "4. He's cute but not my type at all. He's way too clingy." I said. "Clingy people are so cute though," Lennon whined. "Clingy tops are cute." I mused. "But clingy bottoms are cuter!" She stated. "Rosalyns the bottom?!" Agni yelled. "Are you slow by chance?" I snickered.

|20| Demir and Rosalyn came back and Demir looked like they'd been crying. Lennon tried to cheer him up more by hugging him. Soon Agni squealed as she grabbed my hands. "We need to go check out that hunk!" She said as she pointed to a buff guy who was buying Ice cream. I narrowed my eyes and I saw a mate mark. "He has a mate and probably a kid too." I sighed, letting go of her hand.

|21| "so?" She laughed as she ran towards him. I sighed. This is gonna be a long day...
