Elios POV

|1|Today was the day after we were locked in the kitchen. Today I was going out for some business as Lycus's assistant. As I got dressed in normal wear, Ren woke u. "Elio? Where are you going?" He asked groggy, rubbing his eyes. "Out to do some business. Uhm... You can join me if you want." After what Aiden said to me yesterday I felt the need to actually show him some friendliness.

|2| His eyes widened as a smile sprouted on his lips. He nodded slowly. "Then get ready." I said and he nodded, slowly getting up. While he was getting ready I was on my phone checking insta. I saw a picture of my friends. They were going to see the new movie but I couldn't go. I had business to do.

|3| Once Ren was done I noticed he was wearing something similar to what I was wearing. I wondered if that was on purpose or not. I shut off my phone and stood up. " We are gonna eat out for breakfast, alright?" Ren nodded once again. He wasn't verbalize good that much even though he usually talks a lot.

|4| As we walked past the living room my mama called us over. "Where are you guys going?" She asked with a slight smile. "I'm going to look over the peace treaties. Ren's just coming along with me." I explained. I already knew what she wanted to hear. She smiled at my response. "Okay~ Go ahead, bye bye!" Well she was quick to dismiss us.

|5| The office wasn't that far from here. It was just in town so we could stop for something to eat then go to the office. Ren took a chance on holding my hand. Usually I wouldn't let him but today I just let it happen. He was happy I did. As we got into town I took Ren to this cute café for breakfast.

|6| As he didn't know what to get, I just ordered for him what I ordered for myself. A medium mint tea with a croissant sandwich. We ate it in the Café as we had time. Ren seemed to enjoy the sandwich a lot not much the tea though. maybe it was too bitter for him as I don't put sugar in my tea.

|7| Ren caught me staring at him. I was done eating and my phone was updating a file. I was bored, okay? "What?" I asked, he was staring at me back. He shook his head and continued eating. Once he was done, we left.

|8| We made our way to the office, the people there greeting me as usual but giving Ren weird eyes. It's mostly because I don't bring people along when it comes to business. At this point if there was a rumor that we were mates I wouldn't care. Its not like I could get with anybody else.

|9| I could tell Ren was getting overwhelmed by the stares from the way he was squeezing my hand. I didn't do anything because that could bring more stares. I'll just comfort him later. As I sat around a table with Ren beside me, on my phone.

|10| If I ever accepted him as my mate then he'd be doing these things with me but I knew he wouldn't understand shit so I just gave him my phone for entertainment. As I talked with Felix, the court of peace chief, I noticed something.

|11| It was about involvement between our pack and a few packs, including red moon. Needless to say, this piqued my interest. I flipped through a few pages then my eyes widened. Why the fuck did Sandra accept the offer for them to come over here in the summer?!

|12| I need to talk to mom about this. Shouldn't they be on a red flag list or something?! Felix felt my anger and explained the situation. They offered, and they were on the green flag list as we've had positive interactions for a bit now.

|13| The worst part it isn't just the warriors or something, it's the actual Alpha and soon to be Alpha with some top ranking members aswell... and its way to late to end off the offer. As me and Felix were sorting out, my eyes kept trailing back to Ren.

|14| How is he gonna manage? I don't even know if mom and mama know yet. After that, I reviewed some of the rules some of them needed to be changed but none were major. I'll make the arrangements and everything.

|15| After we were done, I said goodbye to Felix and so did Ren. That took about 4 hours but thats alright. I feel a little hungry so imma probably go to a restaurant. Me and Ren were chatting. It was mostly him as I was making sure everything was correct on the email.

|16| After, I took him to a seafood restaurant. They sold chicken nuggets aswell so thats what Ren got because he hasn't grown the stomach for seafood. I got the famous fish and chips. We also got some drinks and ate peacefully. He loved the nuggets. He especially loved the fries that came along with it

|17| As we ate there was light conversation. I sighed as I felt a rope. That rope was our mate bond and it was developing, again. I felt... warmer. Because of an event that happened a few years ago, Omegas usually get nervous when talking to betas or Alphas and I feel like that usually but not to a particular area.

|18| But when I'm with Ren I don't feel that nervousness. I feel... relaxed. I was picking at my food. I was full but there was still more to eat. My fault for training myself to live off a smaller appetite.

|19| Ren sensed my frustration and put his hand on my shoulder. He was confused but still wanted to try and help me... I sighed and smiled at Ren reassuringly. I pushed my food aside as I could just eat it later.

|20| I hated eating for so long as growing up Omega's were always skinny and I was told that's what Alpha's like. So I usually barely ate even when I was younger, like 10 years old. Nowadays, I try to eat more but it's difficult. Either guilt or my forced small appetite stopped me.

|21| Ren continued eating. I wonder how his life was. I know it was horrible but I kinda feel like shit. I'm basically his only reason to live. I can't say I accepted him as my mate but I don't want him to die. He treats me well even though all I did was treat him like he was worthless.

|22| The way he's completely ready to forgive me makes me feel sick. I screwed someone who wasn't my mate even though I knew him. The only way to come back from that is to even out the Karma. Meaning that my mate is supposed to screw someone else but Ren wouldn't do that for some reason.

|23| And it's not breaking our mate bond more that the karma is still not even. It's just ignoring the karma altogether. It's... I don't know...

|24| Ren was finished eating. He ate almost everything but he was confused why I didn't. "I'm full." I said, getting up from my table as I picked up the box. Ren stood up and I threw away his box while I put mine in a bag. We were supposed to go home after but he wanted to go a little bit into town.

|25| There was a park he wanted to go to. It had a duck pond which was so adorable. Ren sat down on the bench. "Can we feed the ducks?!" He asked happily. I nodded and went inside for some duck feed. Ren stayed on the park bench.

|26| As I bought some duck feed from inside the store, I felt someone tap on my back. "Elio!" A familiar voice cheered. Lenon. I turned around and everyone was there. Lenon, Agni, Rosalyn, and Demir. I smiled as I hugged Lenon and waved to everyone. Agni came up to me with a confused face.

|27| "Aren't you and Darrin mated? Where's your mark and the mixed scent?" Agni asked. Fuck man. "We didn't mate." I said blankly. From the corner of my eye I saw Ren. He must've came in because I was taking a while. "What? Why?" Agni asked.

|28| "I decided I'm just gonna stick to my mate." Everyone smiled, especially Demir. Agni let put a chuckle. "Well that's a bold faced lie!". "You've complained about your mate so many times. You've said that you'd die before you actually wanted to be mates with him." Agni laughed.

|29| Ren heard that. his eyes filled with sadness as I was trying to get Agni to shut the fuck up. "What type of prank are you trying to play in the dude?!" Agni giggled. Ren turned around and ran out. I pushed Agni out of my way. "Ren!" I yelled, leaving my friends. "Oops..." Agni muttered.
