Daniel's pov Present day

I was walking through the forest to my favorite spot after finding a note from tails telling me to meet there,but as I was walking there I stopped when I heard something

Daniel:hello,is someone there

When I turned around the only thing I saw was red
Tails pov
After I got my gift for Daniel I headed to his favorite place in the forest but as I got there he wasn't anywhere to be found I tried to call him but no response so I looked around and found a note After reading it I quickly flew home to put the gift on the bed then went to get sonic, once I got there I knocked

Amy:hey Tails,oh my gosh are you ok,here come in

Sonic:Ames who was at the,Tails (speeds over to him)what happened bro

Tails:Da(pants)Daniel(continues to pant then faints from rushing over)

Sonic:let's lay him down,what's that

Amy:(looks worried) who's Knuckles the echidna

Amy:he has Daniel and wants you and tails in exchange for him

(Afterwards a few hours later)
Daniel's pov
I woke up in a daze not sure where I was but I realized I'm in a cage and what looks and appears to be some kind of cage and two red I guess these are the echidnas that Sonic and Tails told me about from a past battle with egghead and they seem to be arguing

Anthony: I just don't see the point in this

Knuckles: we need to avenge our clan

Anthony: for something that happened years ago, seems Pointless to me(looks at me)the wolf is awake

They walked up to me and what I realized about the one echidna is that he looks the same age as me and Tails
Knuckles:do you know who we are wolf (I shook my head) I am knuckles this is brother Anthony,we are last of our clan the echidnas and we seek the blue hedgehog and yellow two tailed fox

Before finishing he and Anthony got hit by a blue blur while tails flew over to me

Tails:of course babe I won't let anyone or anything hurt you

Daniel:come on all three of us need to get out of here

He nodded and we got out only for us to be followed and we decided to find out why they seeked us out and kidnapped me and we listened

Sonic: so let me get this straight you kidnapped
Daniel just to get to me and tails,and all because you thought we destroyed your village

Anthony:yes and me and my brother lost everything so he thought but he won't believe me about the bald man

Daniel:tails is he talking about HIM

Tails: (rubbing my back to keep me calm)yes he is but you need to stay calm

Knuckles: why does the wolf look angry

Sonic: dr.eggman or as you guys called him the bald man kidnapped him to discover his power and turn him into a weapon but of course I stopped him and rescued Daniel

Anthony:see I told you they are not a threat

Knuckles: yes they are free to go but we will be turning this place into our home

We nodded then left and as soon as me and tails got home I went and laid on the couch and tails came over and sat down with me laying my head on his lap

Tails: daniel I have something for you

Daniel:ok(tired like)can you give it in the morning
And before I could hear his answer I was asleep
