ch 13 shattered

Tail's pov
I got up earlier today than usual since I promised sonic I would help out with taking down one Eggmans bases so I went to the kitchen and left a note for daniel so he'll know where I'm at or at least why I'm not home then I left to meet sonic
At the Eggman base

Tails:sonic!

Sonic: hey buddy,thanks for lending a hand

Tails: no problem, so what's up

Sonic:well we can't get in without knowing what the code is,then I need to get some info from the computer using this drive then I need a way out which is where you come in but there is one problem

Tails:let me guess air defenses

Sonic: yep

I nodded to him saying let's do this so I got back to my plane and he went in the base as soon as the alarm went off I knew it was time for take off and to test the new attack system I added to the tornado as this was happening I saw Sonic exit the base which means I had to get to him before the base explodes but as I got closer the plane got hit and I managed a crash landing
Sonics pov

Sonic: Tails nooo!

I quickly ran over to where he crash landed and found him on conscious and ran him to my house and laid tails on the couch

Sonic: (sighs) Daniel's going to kill me

Daniel's pov

(Earlier that morning)
I was in bed slowly waking up and went to greet a certain two tailed fox but I noticed that he wasn't there

Daniel:Tails.....Tails

When he didn't answer I sped around to look for him when I found a note when I reached the kitchen

Daniel:(sighs in relief) ok he's with sonic(phone rings)oh my phone who's calling me at 10:30 in the morning

I sped back to the bedroom to get my phone

Daniel:(on the phone)hello?

Sonic: (on the phone)hey Daniel so don't kill me but I need you to come over

Daniel:why would I kill you,and is tails still with you

Sonic: I can't say over the phone, it would be better in person

Daniel:ok see you in a sec

I after I hung up the phone I quickly ran at my top speed to sonics within .1 second and then knocked on the door and sonic opened it

Daniel:sonic you ok your looking at me like your worried

Sonic: (sighs)you can come in just don't yell punch or try to kill me ok

I nodded and walked into his home to see tails laying on the couch passed out
I ran over to him

Daniel:Tails! (starts to cry) Tails (looks at sonic) what happened

He told me what happened and stood up and Sonic cowards away from me but I shook my head and walked passed him and sat at the table in the kitchen
Sonic walked over to me

Sonic: look it's only been les then an hour and I called you right away

I shook my head

Daniel:I don't blame you but please don't ask tails for help or favors again unless I come with so this doesn't happen again to either of you, you understand me sonic

He nodded and I gave him a hug

Sonic: hey its OK your not gonna lose him ok

I nodded and then we let to sit next to Tails and wouldn't leave his side
Hours have passed and I felt lost without Tails but sonic let me take him home and it was getting late so I went for a quick run,it was now 9pm when I got back home from the run and Tails was the same so I went to him and sang
