chapter 26: Agreements

As I heard the noise again, I slowly stopped cutting the apple and turned around. I saw a little puppy come trotting around the corner. It made a faint whimpering sound, almost like it was asking for food.

I started to laugh. I cut a tiny piece off of a slice of an apple. I sat on the floor of the kitchen and waited for the puppy to come over to me.

"Come here baby," I coo-d.

It cautiously made its way into the kitchen. It looked at me for a second and then came to me. I put my hand out with the fragment of the apple. The little pup was a cute tiny huskey. He was black with little white paws.

He sniffed my hand and then went ahead and took the piece of apple.

"Awww, you're so cute! I'm gonna keep you!" I say as I pull him into my lap.

"I don't think so." I hear from behind me.

Before I could turn around, the puppy was already being taken from me. I immediately get up to protest, but was met by Hunter putting his lips on mine.

I push him away, "No, I want him! It's not fair that you're bigger and can just take him from me like that, when him and I were having bonding time!"

"Fine, I'll share him, but you have to agree not to leave me in bed alone when I'm sleeping. I was very lonely and worried when I woke up, which by the way, was because of you talking to him," Hunter mocked as he flicked the puppy's ear.

"Hey that's not nice!" I went to grab the poor baby, but Hunter just held him up out of my reach.

"Hey, I didn't hear any agreements not to leave me alone in bed," he teased.

"Yeah yeah, just give me him!"

"His name is Spike."

"Aww...ok, whatever. Now, give him to me!" I pouted.

Hunter stared at me for a sec and then gave me Spike. Spike is so cute.

"Well let's go." Hunter said.

"Go where?"

"To bed"

"I'm taking Spike in the room with us!" I tell Hunter as I turn around. Hunter smacked my ass as I walk past.

"Hey! Not infront of him!!" I yell at Hunter, as I point at Spike to imply that I was speaking about him.

"Aww, how sad," Hunter leaned over and tried to do it again, but I skipped ahead just in time.
