Y/NS POV

I woke up the next morning feeling absolutely wonderful. The sun (or at least what looked like a sun) was shining, giving me a relaxing warmth. The air was fresh and crisp, almost perfect. And best of all? I was not covered in tears or alcohol.

Yes, I know, it's a crazy and abnormal occurrence.

I noticed Bill wasn't in bed next to me. I started to panic but I decided I wasnt going to worry about it. He wouldn't want that. He was probably getting breakfast or with the Pines. I laid in bed, gathering strength to move from my comfy spot on the bed to the ground. I finally got up and walked to the closet to change my clothes. The house was quiet, something it usually wasn't. No one was crying, or blasting music, or TV, or anything. I was alone.

Weird.

I wasn't going to let it bother me though. Today is going to be a bother free day. No anxiety, no panic attacks. Perfectly normal. Me ans bill are just going to look at houses. No big deal. I took a deep breath in and out to calm myself and finished getting dressed, I walked down the stairs carefully. 'Don't let it get to you. It's all in your head' I told myself. All of this pressure with Dipper and Bill is starting to make me feel insane. I hate not having a clear solution. I feel so trapped. I don't usually struggle that hard with anxiety -I think- so why is it so hard on me lately?

I got downstairs and found Bill sitting on the couch, an old fashion in a whiskey glass (it's an alcoholic beverage) on the coffee table in front of him, with his hands folded on his lap. He was staring blankly into space, completely zoned out.

"I was wondering where you were." I say. He whips around, startled.

"Oh my demons I didn't realize how late it was" He said, getting out of his daze. He looked at the time and his eyes widened. He took a sip of his drink and shook his head.

"Why were you down here?" I ask. He rubbed his eye. I grabbed his drink as he reached for it again and poured it down the sink. He pouted and sighed.

"I just needed to think some things over. I gotta come up with a plan. Nothing to worry about. I just wanted to make today super special." He says with a weary smile. I grab a glass of water for him and make myself a cup of tea before I sat beside him and ruffled his hair. He sighed.

"And that caused you to drink?" I ask. He waves his hand in the air.

"Of course not. I was just having a drink to cool the nerves. Nothing wrong with that." He responded quickly. I got nervous. I sighed.

"You know you can tell me if something wrong right? I noticed you've been um.. drinking more lately, especially if you are upset." I say. He takes a sip of his water and cupped my face in his hands.

"Sundrop you have nothing to worry about." He said with a smile. "I am perfectly fine. I don't drink that often. And besides, theres nothing wrong with a few drinks. I'm not gonna die or anything." He says laughing. I awkwardly chuckle and sip my tea.

"Haha yea I guess. Just, will you tell me if you arent ok?" I ask. He nods.

"Of course, flower." He says. He pulls me off the couch and into his arms. He kissed my forehead. "Come on, we can go to the diner for breakfast."

"As long as you drink the rest of the water and then do something about your breath I'm perfectly fine with that." I say. He laughs and drinks the water and then rummage for a breath mint. I look around and notice that the little shelf under the end table had liquor and glasses, and there were empty glasses on the table in front of him. He saw me looking and snapped his fingers.

"Let me just get rid of those. I found a breath mint let's go now." He says, linking arms with me. I nervously chuckled.

"Yep. Let's go." I say.
