Chapter Twelve

~Y/NS POV~

I walked home furious. The rain was still pouring down in big drops that splashed on the dirt as I walked. Every step I took made me regret every minute of today more and more. I wasnt mad at Bill or Dipper, I was mad at myself for allowing myself to trust them. I knew I would just get hurt, like I always do.

I stepped onto the front porch and stood there. I sat down on the soaking wet chair that was Underneath the windows. I looked into the windows behind me and wiped off the rain to see Bill on the couch. By the looks of it he had been crying. My heart sank to my stomach. He sniffled as I watched him make blue fireballs and then watch them fade away. I got up and walked back over to the door and opened it. Bill snapped his fingers and I was dry. I chuckled as I sat beside him.

"I'm so sorry Sundrop, it's not my fault I sw-...." He said. So this is what we're gonna talk about.....

"Not your fault?! How in the he-" I started to say, but he covered my mouth. He looked at me with sad, desperate eyes.

"Glitch" he said.

"Glitch? What the hell does that mean?!" I said, my eyes widening. Bills eyes widened a bit too, with curiosity..

"Glitch. I glitch. It happens every so often. I'm not supposed to have emotions being a dream demon and all, so I glitch every so often when I have too much emotion."

"I'm so sor-"

"Don't, I don't want sympathy.. and" he laughed. God I love that laugh.. I wish I could hear it on repeat all day. "I'm not done yet. I was so excited for summerween. Really, I was. It's just that...."

~BILLS POV~

I woke up, Sundrop was still sound asleep. I was shaking with excitement. I had decided last night to eat earlier, knowing Sundrop would immediately run out the door with her costume on, dashing towards the Mystery Shack. I snaked my arm out from underneath her and got up. I snapped and I was changed from triangle shorts and a yellow shirt, to a white tee and black jeans.

I went downstairs still shaking. 'Today is the day' I thought 'I'm gonna show her the dreamscape, the most beautiful part of it.' I put coffee on while I poured my cereal into a bowl and grabbed the milk. All of a sudden my hand started twitching and I dropped the milk.

I was shaking violently again, my vision going from night vision to day vision rapidly. 'shit shit shit shit shit' I thought. A saw a photo for a split second. It was of me and Sundrop, only she was covered in blood, and I was clutching a knife in my hand, my knuckles were turning white. A knife appeared in my hand and I started to float off the ground. I struggled to stop as I floated up the stairs slowly. I opened the door to her room with little hesitation and started to move towards her until I saw Sundrop shift. I immediately dropped the knife with a clang and held her in my arms, laying down in bed. I smirked as she struggled from my grasp.

"But baby~ I want you to stay~ I bet we can have soooo much more fun~" I said. She kissed me and ruffled my hair. I almost melted. 'Holy fuck how does that always work' I think to myself. She changes and races out the door. My hand was twitching again. I let out a cry in pain. "Why today!!!?! It's been three years!" I crumbled to the ground. "Ow." My head started pounding. My vision blurred again. I need a plan.

"Ok, " I thought out loud. "I just need to calm down, to be more chill. Just act like you have no emotion and it will go away, you can do that. Just let Sundrop do whatever she wants, keep her away you know? So you don't feel as much love and warmth around her. No strong feeling, no glitching, you can do this bill. It's ok" I was in half a panic. 'How could I possibly make that..' I smirked. I turned invisible and snuck up behind Sundrop. I put an idea in her mind. As soon as I knew it I was giving her money and she was off with Shooting Star.
