Natalie was having a great time at the pool party, chatting with her friends and enjoying the warm weather. She was completely unaware of the danger lurking nearby. Jake was sitting by the side of the pool, scanning the crowd and making sure that Natalie was safe. But then he noticed that she was having a heated argument with a guy she knew from school. Jake stood up and started to walk towards them, but before he could reach them, the guy suddenly hit Natalie.

Jake's instincts kicked in immediately, and he pushed the guy away from Natalie. But then the guy noticed Jake's arm cast, and he pushed him into the pool. Jake tried to brace himself, but the impact sent a sharp pain through his arm. As he tried to get back up, the guy hit his broken arm, causing him to yell out in pain.

Natalie saw what happened and tried to intervene, but the guy was too strong. The hosts of the party quickly noticed the commotion and stepped in, throwing the guy out. But the damage had been done - Jake's cast was completely ruined, and he was in excruciating pain.

Natalie knew that they had to leave the party right away. She helped Jake out of the pool, supporting him as they made their way to the car. Once they were inside, she turned to Jake and saw the pain etched on his face. She knew that he was hurt badly, and she felt terrible for putting him in harm's way.

"Are you okay?" she asked, her voice filled with concern.

Jake shook his head, wincing in pain. "No, my arm hurts like hell. I think I need to go to the hospital."

Natalie nodded, feeling guilty for not being able to protect Jake. She started the car and drove him to the hospital, where they waited for hours to see a doctor. Finally, they were seen, and the doctor confirmed that Jake's arm had been re-broken. He would need a new cast and several weeks of rest to heal.

Natalie stayed by Jake's side the whole time, feeling responsible for what had happened. She knew that her dad would be furious when he found out, and she dreaded the thought of having to face his anger. But she also knew that she couldn't let anything happen to Jake - he had become more than just her bodyguard, he was her friend and protector.
