I frantically tried to turn on the ignition of the kidnappers' car, hoping that we could escape from this place. But it was no use - the car was completely dead, and we were stranded in the middle of nowhere.

I felt a sense of panic wash over me as I realized that we were in serious trouble. Jake, who was still in a lot of pain, tried to calm me down, telling me that everything was going to be okay. He tried to get up, but he immediately fell into my arms, and I nearly collapsed under his weight. It was clear that we weren't going anywhere anytime soon.

Despite his own pain, Jake made sure to ask if I was okay, but I just told him not to worry about me. Instead, I helped him to his feet and we slowly made our way outside. It was then that we realized just how far away from civilization we really were - there wasn't a single building or person in sight.

Jake looked at me and told me to just leave him there, but I couldn't do that. I knew that we had to stick together if we were going to make it out of this alive. I helped him walk a little further away from the car, and we both sat down on the dusty ground, unsure of what to do next.

I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed by the situation, and tears started streaming down my face as I thought about everything that had happened. But I quickly wiped them away, determined to stay strong for both Jake and myself.

We were stuck in the middle of nowhere with no one to help us, but I refused to give up hope. I knew that we had to find a way out of this, no matter what it took. We were in this together, and I wasn't going to let anything happen to Jake.
