Four days later

Around eight in the morning, everyone left for the farmhouse, leaving me behind.

I tried to persuade them to go after picking me up from the university. But, Ammi reprimanded me, calling me a self-centered person.

How can I convince her that I don't want to spend even ten minutes with Daniyal, three hours with him would be agony for me. Cussing at my inauspicious fate, I headed to my university.

In University, Hamna teased me saying even destiny wants me to be with Daniyal. I rolled my eyes at her statement.

"My ears hurt from listening to your nonsensical speech. I'm going to complain about you to Hamza Bhai if you don't stop saying these things." I grinned slyly.

Hamna has a huge crush on Hamza Bhai since last three years. I told her to confess her feelings for Bhai but she is too scared about his reaction.

Hamna gave me a wide-eyed stare and slapped my arm. "Snitch! I hope it takes more than six hours to get to the farmhouse."

I glanced at her with a shock "How can you curse me like this!"

Hamna laughed, "Stop being so dramatic, Zahra. Daniyal is a sweetheart."

I scrunched my nose in disgust, "If you like him so much, Why don't you get married with him instead of Hamza Bhai?"

Hamna laughed out loud and replied, "You're crazy."

I stucked my tongue out at her and dragged her into the auditorium with me.

****

Hamna dragged me inside the library once the seminar was over.

"Hamna, I'm starving. I won't be able to study now." I pouted.

"I'll take a couple books there, and then we'll both head to the canteen."

She dragged me to the library while I sulked behind her. My phone suddenly began to ring. I noticed Daniyal is calling. I looked at the time and it was 3:30.

Crap!

He slipped from my mind. I answered the phone right away.

"Zahra, what the hell happened to you? For the past 15 minutes, I've been calling you." With rage in his voice, Daniyal questioned.

"Stop yelling. I just finished the seminar." I gave a frustrated response.

"Come outside at once. I'm in front of the main gate." then hung up the call. He didn't even wait for my response.

Jerk

"I have to leave now, Hamna. That idiot is standing outside." I gave a small hug and left the place.

I came out of the college and saw a black Mitsubishi outlander. Daniyal was leaning on the car with his shades on and clad in a navy blue shirt with off white pants.

(Daniyal's outfit)

He looked up from his phone and opened the passenger door for me. He shut the door after I got in and went around to the drivers side to get in.

"Where is your luggage?" Daniyal questioned.

"Ammi took it with her as I had to come here." Daniyal nodded

"Wear your seatbelts."

"I was going to wear anyway." responsed being irritated.

"That I can see." Daniyal replied sarcastically.

I attempted to use the seat belt, but it was jammed. The buckle would not budge no matter what I did. I yanked the belt firmly out of frustration, and the belt came out with a click.

"You can't even buckle up, Zahra." Daniyal commented in an irritated manner while rolling his eyes.

I wish the ground would split in two and I could jump into it. So freaking embarrassing!

He turned the car on and drove away.
I connected my phone with the car's bluetooth and played "Iraaday" by Abdul Hannan.

"Do you think this car is yours?" Daniyal asked sarcastically.

"Do you think I'm as stupid as you are for treating other people's things as my own? No," I replied.

"Then why did you plug in your phone?" slightly raising his voice.

"Because I don't want to hear your voice, Mr Daniyal."

"As if I enjoy your company." mocked Daniyal.

"I didn't ask you to take me. Ibrahim Bhai is responsible for coming up with this idea." I replied angrily.

I'm already starving and this boy is irritating me with his presence. Ugh.

Ignoring Daniyar's presence, I leaned back in my seat and closed my eyes to let sleep consume me.

Daniyal's POV

Insolent Brat

She should be appreciative that I'm bringing her along. I could have gone to the farmhouse without her, if Shafia Aunty hadn't requested me.

My phone started ringing, so I looked down and saw Hania's name on the screen.

She will definitely kill me.

Parking the car at the side of the road, I answered the call.

"What's wrong, Daniyal?" Hania asked.

"Nothing. Why do you feel that something is wrong?"

"I was supposed to see you today, but you've been ignoring my calls since this morning," Hania replied in a dejected tone.

"I'm sorry, sweetheart. I can't meet with you today. I have to go to the new farmhouse today. We will surely meet after I'll return from there." my voice filled with guilt.

"Enjoy your stay, Babe. Love you."

"Love you too, sweetheart."

I hung up the phone and turned to Zahra, who had ruined my trip and was now soundly dozing.

Who could guess that this seemingly innocent and sweet girl dressed in pink anarkali with silver jhumkas is actually a spoilt brat who lack basic manners.

(Zahra's outfit)

She squirmed in her sleep when a few hair strands landed in front of her eyes. She gently shook her head in an attempt to move her hair, but it didn't work.

I decided to help her by gently moving her hair out of her eyes and tucking it behind her ears. I smiled looking at her.

She is looks pretty when she is silent.

I turned towards the road and drove off with a genuine smile.
