When you walk by someone, whats the first thing you notice? A beaming smile, flirtatious eyes, or even how fit their body is? Constantly deciding who you'll approach based on what you see, not what hides beneath. You never stop to realize the people standing in front of you. the pain and suffering someone has gone through, all hidden behind a fake smile and some pity laughter. You never take a moment to notices that the person you tell everything to may be breaking on the inside. putting on a fake smile to hide from the world and blend in with everyone else. beaten down by society for not being the perfect person: not skinny enough, or strong enough. not having the clearest skin, or the perfect smile. constantly hurting from striving to be someone they're not, trying to please someone else. covering it all up and making it unnoticeable to any average person. all of these things can be seen if you take a moment and look just beneath the surface.......

Hayley Robinson was your average 17 year old girl, or so it seemed. she had gorgeous brown hair, that flowed down there back in beachy waves. lightning blue eyes with a circle of yellow surrounding her pupil. she was 5'6" and walked around with grace. if you saw her walking down the street, you wouldn't have known she was different, until you heard her talk. She talked with an Australian accent although she lived in a little town in New Jersey. She had long, muscular legs from evening after evening of playing soccer. she was an average height, but very fit. she was always quiet and shy at first, but once she got to know you, she became loud and outgoing.

She lived in a boring little town, which meant nothing to do. she spend countless hours of sitting in her small bedroom scribbling poetry and writing songs while her fingers danced across a small keyboard in the corner. other times, she skyped her friends back home in Australia, missing home and everything about it. she dreamed of going back there someday wishing she wasn't stuck in the middle of know where.

Hayley's story started off like any others, a father with a job transfer from Sydney to New Jersey. Being forced to abandon her old life to start off fresh in America. unfortunately, thing weren't what you would imagine they would be. a new city, a new town, and new country, new people, new shops, new school, new everything. adapting was going to take a while, but somehow she would manage, somehow, someway, but thing aren't always as simple as they seem....
