Tw: panic attack. Soft Crosshair.

Saida kept her eyes shut as she tried to remember what happened. The last thing she remembered was... getting captured?

That couldn't be right.

Saida slowly sat up and clutched at her head. She looked around, noticing that she was alone. Saida got to her feet, and walked to the door.

She looked around to make sure it was clear, and then ran out the open door.

"That was easy," She mused to herself.

"And where do you think you're going?" Crosshair asked from behind her.

"Dammit!" Saida exclaimed. "Can you not just let me be?"

"I can't just let you wander off," Crosshair dryly said. "You're injured and a prisoner."

Saida rolled her eyes. Crosshair held out binders, and she reluctantly put them on.

Saida was sat down on an empty bunk, and forced to watch Crosshair clean his rifle. She quickly got bored.

"Why am I stuck here with you? I'd rather be with basically anyone else than you," Saida asked.

"Because the others are out buying medicine for your injuries," Crosshair huffed. "And I got stuck on babysitter duty."

"I don't need your help," Saida scowled.

"You had broken ribs and a concussion. You still wanna turn down the offer?" Crosshair raised an eyebrow at her.

"I don't need anything from your weak ass," Saida scoffed.

"Weak? I captured you!" Crosshair glared at her.

"Only because you snuck up on me!" Saida sneered at him and gave him the middle finger. "In a fair fight I would've won!"

"It's not always fair," Crosshair gave her the finger in return.

"Oh, you're awake," Tech said as he walked into the room. "Would you mind telling me where you got your injuries?"

"I do mind," Saida crossed her arms. "Why do you want to know?"

"I do not know when you received your injuries, and if I am to give you treatment, I need to know when and how you got them," Tech shined a light into her pupils.

Saida smacked his hand away sending the light to the floor. She then turned away and buried her face into the wall, preventing Tech from doing it again.

Tech gave Crosshair a pout, wanting assistance with stubborn Saida. Crosshair sighed and rolled his eyes, but he helped anyway.

"Wha-" Saida was surprised when Crosshair grabbed her face and turned it back to Tech.

Tech gave Crosshair a happy smile and grabbed his flashlight again. Saida thrashed around in Crosshair's grip, but he didn't let go.

"Ow!" Crosshair yelled when she bit him. "You kriffing bit me!"

Saida gave him a smug grin, but quickly sobered when he gave her a smirk in retaliation.

"Don't you dare!" Saida narrowed her eyes at him.

"Hunter! Saida's being uncooperative!" Crosshair shouted.

"What do you want me to do about it? Deal with it yourself!" Hunter yelled.

Crosshair smirked at Saida, and ignoring Tech's protests that he still needed to examine her, put her in the closet.

Saida was fine with that, she'd had worse living situations, but she started to panic when it went dark.

Saida's heartbeat quickened and her breathing became irregular as she hyperventilated. She curled in on herself and silently cursed that stupid man's name.

It was hard to keep track of time when you're panicking, it goes by so slowly, but so fast at the same time. All she knew for certain was that she wouldn't be stubborn like that again. She'd even go to prison if that meant she wouldn't have to sit in the dark again.

And when the door flew open and the light flooded into the closet, she nearly wept in relief.

But she didn't.

She refused to let them see her cry.

Saida was stronger than that, if she could stay silent while being flogged, she could survive a measly panic attack.

But for some reason her body didn't understand that, and she cried anyway.

"The kriff is wrong with you?" Crosshair asked roughly, but he had that moment of hesitation, unsure of what to do next.

"Leave me alone," Saida whispered, which concerned Crosshair more than if she screamed.

"Where's the- hey! Why's she cryin'?" Wrecker asked as he walked by.

"How am I supposed to know?"  Crosshair hissed. "I didn't want to deal with her so I left her alone for a while!"

Saida slowly calmed herself down and took raged breaths to do so. While the two fools still argued, she stood up and walked to the cockpit where she could watch the stars fly by.

"Dammit Crosshair I thought you'd be the bigger person and not let her get to you, but you locked her in the closet!" Saida heard Hunter scold from behind her.

She heard footsteps approach her, so she wasn't surprised when Crosshair asked what was wrong.

"I'm just done with this," Saida confessed. "I'm tired of the running, the killing, and the fear in their eyes as I hunt them down."

"Then why are you a bounty hunter?" Crosshair questioned.

Saida sighed heavily and ran her hands down the sides of the chair. "Not everyone has a choice Crosshair." She smiled bitterly.

"Everyone has a choice," Crosshair sat down next to her.

"If only," Saida turned back to the stars.

They sat in silence for a moment before Crosshair spoke up.

"Sometimes I don't want to be a soldier. Sometimes I wonder what would happen if I ran away to become a civilian," Saida hummed for him to go on. "But I can't leave my brothers. Or what about the people that I work to save? In some ways, I'm trapped."

"What would you do if you did run away?" Saida asked.

"I kinda wanna play the guitar," Crosshair said and glanced at her. "I think I'd be good at it."

Saida nodded. She could easily picture him with a guitar.

"What about you? If whatever holds you back was gone, what would you do?" Crosshair wondered.

"I don't know," Saida thoughtfully said. "I've never thought about it."

"It'll come to you," Crosshair got up, leaving Saida to think.
