He does have an internship as Tony Starks personal intern
Peter doesn't have the father-son relationship with Tony (yet) but they do have the mentor-mentee relationship

"And the Field trip goes to, drumroll please-" Mr. Harrington, the decathlon teacher starts clapping himself on the thigh and the rest of the class joins in. "Stark Tower" he exclaims and cheers erupted from the class, except for one particular teenager with brown hair and doe brown eyes who lets his head fall down into the table.

This was just what was missing for Peter Parker, he already knew Flash Thompson would taunt him the whole trip just because he's an asshole and because he had come to the conclusion that the internship Peter had at SI was fake, just because he coudn't accept it wasn't him who had gotten it. He lifted his head up and tried to concentrate on the rest of the lesson, ignoring the cocky grins the bully was sending him throughout it.

Peter got home and left the permission slip he had gotten for May to sign when she got home from the hospital. He already dreaded this Friday, even though he had never lied about his internship, both students and some teachers never believed him and shunned him for it.

He sighed and went up to quickly finish his homework in order to swing out as Spider-Man for a couple of hours, crime didn't wait until he had free, but he still had to do his homework to at least try and make up for the bad attendance rate he had.

He swung around and stopped some small crime, a car theft, a bike theft and a small burglary, other than that he helped an old lady with directions.

As the spider swung home, he felt proud of himself for what he had accomplished that day. He swung home to get some dinner with his aunt, he swung easily through his window and landed on the floor in the classic superhero-pose and then tapped the spider, making the suit expand and fall off him.

He took on a hoodie and went down to his aunt.
"Hey May!" He chimed and May kissed him on the cheek. "Hey Pete, I have signed the permission slip, so you're free to go on Friday" May said and patted Peter on the shoulder, the boy sighed as he had completely forgotten about the dreaded trip to SI.

✯ Time Skip ✯

Friday rolled around and Peter was standing with his class, piling inside a bus that was taking them to Stark Towers. He and Ned sat down beside each other in the back row with MJ taking up the other two seats, laying up against the wall with her feet on the seat, a book placed in her hand.
"So Peter, what do you think we'll do at the Tower?" Ned squeals excited and Peter tells him about the standard tour procedure.

The rest of the ride passes and the bus stops, everyone gets up and fights to be the first out of the bus, Peter and MJ being the last. The teacher calms the students down and a female intern walks up to them, she was around the same height as Peter, she was chubby and her bronze skin, brown eyes and chestnut brown hair went great together, she smiled a warm smile and her dimples appeared.

"Hello, you must be Midtown Tech I'm Ava" she said and she took the teachers hand and shook it. "Right, I have your badges here, make sure not to lose them as Happy won't be making you new ones and the your trip is over" she stated and handed out badges, as she got to Peter she stopped and looked at her empty hands.

"I'm sorry, I don't have a badge for you, there must be a mistake-" she started but Peter quickly interrupted. "Nono, I have my own" he and pulled out his Level 10 badge to prove it, Ava's eyes widened in shock and she nodded. "Right, well then let's go" she chimed and went inside the main hall. She started to explain the story and levels to the class but as Peter had both been told and told others the exact sam words multiple times before, thus he started to zone out.
