-Peter is trans and only Ned and MJ knows it, his name before Peter was Penny
-The Avengers know 'Penny' is Spider-Man and thinks 'she' only took the name Spider-Man because of sexism and stuff
-May doesn't know her 'daughter' is Spider-Man
-Peter sees the Avengers as a family since he doesn't have much of a family himself
-Tony is like his dad and mentor as he had helped him with his suit and with training

Peter was out, swinging around as the Queen's very own vigilante, Spider-Man, this was great and he felt free, which was very rare as he normally felt trapped in his body, you see, the boy Peter Parker had a secret, he always knew something was wrong with him, he had always felt like a boy, but the fact was that he was born in a girl's body. His birth name was Penny and that was what everyone called him, except his two best friends who had always supported him, Ned and MJ.

The spider sighed and crawled inside his window, with a sigh he took off the mask and his long hair flowed down. He lived having the mask on, it made him feel as a male for once and everyone knew him as Spider-Man, the voice-changer he had added worked like a charm.

"WHAT THE HELL!" He heard a disturbed yell behind him, he quickly turned around to see his aunt May standing there in shock.
"Hi May" he said, his light voice trembling, how he despised that voice.
"You're Spider-MAN?" She asked, still in shock and Peter shrugged. "Yeah, I've been meaning to tell you for a while" he said, he had been trying to, but he wanted to come out as trans first.

"Why Spider-Man? Don't you think the world should know their hero is a female" May asked after most of the shock had worn off, Peters shoulders fell and realization seemed to dawn upon the woman.
"Do you feel like a boy?" She asked and Peter didn't know what to do now that the moment was here so he began to cry.

May wrapped her caring arms around her nephew who continued to cry. "So, my nephew, what do you want to be called?" She asked and Peter smiled. "Peter, you said that's what my parents were to name me if I was born a boy" he muttered and May stroked his hair. "Well Peter, you know we can't afford surgery, but we can get you a binder and I can cut your hair" she said angelically and Peter was just so thankful for his amazing aunt.

May had cut his hair short and he loved it, then they had taken a quick shopping trip to buy a binder, luckily all of Peters clothes were already masculine so he didn't need new ones of those.

The change hadn't taken much time but the boy already felt so much happier, he could look in the mirror without feeling the urge to throw up. "Thank you so much May, I think I wanna come out to the Avengers now" he chimed and May smiled.

"We'll take the Spider-Man talk another day Pete, stay safe and remember to take off the binder before you get hurt" she strictly told, he loved May, she was never strict unless it was about his safety. "Will do May!" He beamed before pulling on the mask and leaping out of the window.

Spider-Man swung up to the Avengers window and knocked on it, getting FRIDAY to open it.
"Hello Penny! How are you doing?" Tony asked and Peter pulled of his mask. "I'm doing great! Thanks" he told and Tony ruffled his hair. "Nice haircut kiddo" he smiled and Peter took a deep breath.

"I have something to tell all of you, can you call the Avengers together, it's nothing serious, just something about my personal life" he clarified and Tony nodded before telling FRIDAY to tell the Avengers to meet up, and that there was no threat.

Not long after they all were in the living room, the last to arrive was Clint who dropped down on the couch from a vent.

Peter cleared his throat. "Well, Avengers, I have something I want to tell you all" he told and took in a deep breath. "For starters, my aunt know about my Spider-identity, and also-" another deep breath were taken "I'm transgender" he told and held his breath in anticipation.

The silence that fell over the crowd was nerve wrecking but then they all went up to him and hugged him, telling him affirming and supportive words, and he shed some tears of joy.

"What does transgender mean Penny?" The Captain asked, breaking the wholesome moment and Peter flinched at the name, he was nervous for the reaction cap might have, it was illegal back the anyways.
"It means that I was born in the wrong body, I was born as a girl but I feel like a boy, my new name is Peter."

Cap had a long pause. "Back in my days it was completely wrong, but times change I guess. And I might not understand it that much, but I'll do my best Penn- ... I'll do my best Peter"

Peter also came out to his school, and everyone - except for Flash and his friends - supported him, Flash and his goons started calling him "Penis" which was actually better than his deadname.

So while life definitely could be better.
It also could be a lot worse.
