Damon joined the others in the conversation. Elijah spoke to them. “Tonight is the full moon. We should assume that Klaus is prepared to break the curse.” Even Faye was there.

Stefan looked at Elijah. “Elena said that the Sun and the Moon curse is fake? That it's actually just a curse placed on Klaus.”

“Klaus is a vampire born of a werewolf bloodline. The curse has kept his werewolf aspect from manifesting. But if he breaks it... He'll be a true hybrid.” Elijah replied.

Just then, Damon walked to them. “Then why are we letting him break the curse? We can kill him today. With Bonnie.”

“Oh, Damon.” Marley muttered.

“Damon...” Stefan trailed off.

Elena shook with her head. “No. Bonnie can't use that much power without dying.”

“Plus we can help.” Marley pointed at herself and her daughter.

“Yeah, but with out the dying part.” Faye added.

Damon rolled with his eyes. “I'll write her a great eulogy.”

“It's not an option, Damon.” Elena countered.

Damon was fuming as then Marley walked up to him. “Damon.” She whispered to him. He looked at her. “Don’t do stupid stuff, not now, please?”

Damon nodded. “If I only need to.”

“Its all I can ask for.” Marley had a small smile on her face.

Stefan looked at Elijah. “All right, how do we break this curse?”

“Well, the ritual itself is relatively straightforward. The ingredients, so to speak, you already know.” Elijah replied.

“The moonstone.” Stefan comment.

Elijah nodded. “A witch will channel the power of the full moon to release the spell that's bound within the stone. After that, Klaus, being both werewolf and vampire, will sacrifice one of each.”

“And where do I fit into it?” Elena asked.

“The final part of the ritual.” Elijah took a wooden box from the shelf. “Klaus must drink the blood of the doppelgänger...to the point of your death.”

Stefan took Elena's hand. She looked at him. He opened the box and took a jar from it. “And that's where you come in.”

“This is an elixir that I acquired some 500 years ago for Katerina. It possesses mystical properties of resuscitation.” Elijah told them all.

“Strong energy.” Marley comment, looking at the jar. Damon looked at her, frowning. “It’s magical, that’s for sure.”

Elena looked at Elijah. “So I'll be dead?”

“And then you won't.” Elijah replied.

“That's your plan? A magical witch potion with no expiration date?” Damon looked at Elena. “You want to come back to life, what about John's ring?”

Elijah looked at him. “Those rings only work on humans. The doppelgänger's a supernatural occurrence. Odds are, the ring won't work.”

“I'll take those odds over your elixir. What if it doesn't work, Elena?” Damon asked her.

“Then I guess I'll just be dead.” Elena replied. Damon looked at Stefan. He shrugged. Damon looked at Elijah and leaves.

“Ray of a sun shine.” Faye muttered.

Elena Looked at Elijah. “Do we know if Klaus has everything he needs to do this? Does he have a werewolf?”

“Klaus has been waiting to break this curse for over a thousand years. If he doesn't already have a werewolf, my guess is by tonight, he will.” Elijah replied.
