Chapter 9 - Crying Wolf

Marley woke up and looked at Damon. “How long was I out?”

“A few days.” Damon replied to her.

“And you stayed by my side?” Marley asked him.

Damon nodded. “Yes. Your father came here a few times to check on you and your daughter did as well.”

“Where are they now?” Marley asked, sitting up.

“Careful.” Damon helped her. “They are in the other room. Should I call for them?”

“If you could, please.” Marley told him.

Then, Damon walked up to the door and opened it, he called for Magnus and Faye. “Magnus, Faye, Marley is awake.” Little Chelsea was still asleep herself, they will collect her later.

They rushed over and greeted Marley. “Munchkin!” “Mama!” They shouted together. “How are you?”

“I’m alright.” Marley smiled at them.

“Oh, thank god.” Faye comment. “Mama, I was worried.”

“I know.” Marley comment. “I can see it on your face.”

“Oh, mama.” Faye comment, smiling.

Just then, Magnus spoke up. “We all were worried.”

“Why? I’m immortal.” Marley asked.

“But not invincible.” Magnus replied, reminding her.

Marley nodded. “I know.”

Later, Marley dressed in different clothes. When she was done, she walked into the hall way, there she saw Damon, standing there. “Hi, Damon.” She greeted him.

“Hi, Marley.” Damon greeted her back.

“If you must know I heard you talking.” Marley told him.

Damon had his eyes widen. “So, you heard everything?”

“I did.” Marley nodded. “I heard that you like me.”

“Yeah, the truth.” Damon comment.

Marley looked at him. “So, you admit that you like me?”

“Yes.” Damon replied, rubbed the back of his neck.

Marley smiled. “Well, I like you too and that’s saying something.”

Damon smiled as well, first time after what happened to Rose. “I need some time to adjust.”

“Take as much time as you would like, Damon. I understand, after what happened to Rose and I need to find my daughter.” Marley told him. “But at least we admitted.”

Damon nodded. “Yes, we did. And this Elijah is the same guy that is the father of Chelsea?”

“Yep.” Marley popped with the ‘p’. “So, don’t het any ideas to kill him or whatever. I need his skill to find my daughter.”

“I won’t do anything before then.” Damon comment.

“Oh, Damon. One of these days.” Marley comment.

Marley arrived Lockwood Mansion, the Historical Society's Tea Party was in full swing. She had heard the others about it and wanted to check it out. She was looking around as she saw Elijah and Carol talking, then she saw Damon and Jenna talking and then she saw a woman, she had seen her before from the news, Andie Star, she believed that was her. What she didn’t expect its that Damon pecked Andie on the lips. She also saw that Andie had a scarf around her neck. “Really, Damon.” She muttered to herself. Damon walked out of the room. “That wasn’t what he meant with take your time. Men!” Then, she saw Alaric and went over to him. “Hi, Alaric.” She greeted him.
