Alaric arrived at the Salvatore boarding house. Damon looked at him. “Thanks for coming, Ric. Can I get you something to drink? Coffee, bourbon? Bourbon in your coffee?”

“I want one.” Marley replied to him. Damon rolled with his eyes, but grabbed it for her anyway. “Thank you.” She smiled at him.

Alaric sighed. “Elena mentioned you needed my help.”

“Yeah, we were hoping you could help shed some light on the Lockwood family.” Stefan nodded.

“Now, why would I know anything about the Lockwood's?” Alaric asked to them.

“Well, you wouldn't.” Damon replied to him. “But your dead, not-dead vampire wife might.”

“Isobel's research from when you guys were at Duke together.” Elena added.

“You said that she had spent years researching this town.” Stefan finished.

Alaric looked at them. “Isobel's research here in Mystic Falls rooted in folklores and legends but at the time I thought much of which was fiction.”

“All legends are true.” Marley comment.

“Like that amazing vampire story.” Damon also comment.

“Aside from vampires, what else?” Elena asked to Alaric.

“The lycanthrope.” Alaric replied to her.

“Werewolves.” Marley nodded.

Elena had her eyes widen. “Wait, like werewolves?”

“Well, yes.” Marley nodded.

“No way, impossible, way too Lon Chaney.” Damon replied in disbelieve.

“Is it?” Stefan asked.

“I've been on this planet one hundred and sixty some odd years, never came across one. If werewolves exist, where the hell are they?” Damon also asked.

Alaric looked at him. “Why do you suspect the Lockwoods?”

“Because vervain didn't affect the mayor at Founders' Day but the Gilbert device did and it affected his son Tyler.” Damon replied to him.

“And at the school carnival his uncle Mason exhibited inhuman behavior when he fought with one of the carnival's workers.” Stefan added. “It suggests it's some sort of a supernatural entity.”

“We were hoping that Isobel's research could help us figure it out what it is.” Elena comment.

“Well, all her things are still at Duke.” Alaric told them. “I mean her office is still there. She's technically still missing.”

“So can we get access to it?” Damon asked. “Ric, we need to know what we are dealing with. If this wolfman thing is true, I've seen enough movies to know it's not good.” Then, Damon added. “It means Mason Lockwood is a real-life Lon Chaney and that little Tyler punk may just very well be Lon Chaney junior, which means Bella Lugosi, meaning me, is totally screwed.”

“Which you are.” Marley comment.

“Wait a minute.” Damon comment, looking at Marley. “You seem to know more about this all than you let on.”

“Well as I said all legends are true.” Marely comment.

“Meaning?” Alaric asked to her, curious.

“Meaning, I have seen it all.” Marley replied to him. “Vampires, Warlocks, witches, werewolves, hybrids, ghosts, angels and demons! And so much more.”
