"Amelia, wait up!" I called out to her.
She turned around and looked at me confused. "Oh, Hey," She said quietly.
"Wanna walk home with the group and me?" I asked her.
"Listen, I know you're trying to give me a second chance but Morgan and the others don't like me."
I frowned. "Come on" I whined. "I'll make sure they'll like you" I grinned evilly.
She shrugged and followed along with me.
-----------------------
The walk was almost entirely silent. Only the sound of our shoes scraping the ground. Nobody dared to talk while Amelia was there.
"This is my stop," Lana said, walking up her steps. Morgan ran up with her.
Cameron and I waved our goodbyes, Amelia stayed silent.
Cameron was now on my left and Amelia on my right.
"Cam?" I called for him.
"Hmm?" He gave me his full attention.
"Can you do me a favor?" I smirked.
He looked at me suspiciously. "Sure..."
"Can you and Amelia be friends? Please~" I begged, effortlessly switching spots with Amelia so the two were directly next to each other.
He looked down at Amelia and immediately looked back up.
I nudged Amelia so she could be the first to start the conversation.
"Hey, Cameron," Amelia said quietly.
"Hello," Cam said disinterestedly.
They both initiated a conversation, and they were laughing together. I was glad they were enjoying their time together.
But wait...
Did I feel... jealous? How? I wanted this to happen, I don't have a reason to be feeling like this.
"Bye, Amelia!" I waved to her. So did Cameron.
She had to take a different turn so it was just me and Cameron now.
"So, are you guys friends now?" I asked him with a grin.
"I guess so." His arm snaked around my shoulder. I leaned into his touch and smiled. I had no reason to be jealous. Cameron loved me and I loved him. He made me feel special. No way he would just leave me.
---------------------------------
I walked up my porch steps, expecting my boyfriend to be behind me. I turned around to see him walking away.
"Woah!" I yelled.
He stopped walking a turned around. He looked at me with concern.
I walked halfway down my steps.
"Aren't you coming over?" I walked down the rest of the steps
"Oh, not today. Sorry, Brooke" He walked up to me.
He opened his arms for a hug. I gladly accepted.
"Can we just stay like this forever?" I smiled with my head snuggled in his shirt. I heard his soothing chuckle.
He let go of me and gently lift my chin to allow me to face him, I melted in his touch. He smiled and leaned in.
**smoochie**
A light tint of pink flowed onto my cheeks. I smiled.
"I'll text you tonight," He said then walked away.
I walked up my steps with a small smile. I unlocked my front door and walked in, locking it behind me.
I looked around the house, checking if my father was home. He wasn't, I was home alone today. Just perfect.
I strutted up the stairs and to my room, immediately taking out my homework to complete it.
~Time Skip~
My homework was completed hours ago. I'm sitting at my kitchen table eating some food I had whipped up. My father still wasn't home, and still no text from Cameron.
**ping ping**
I picked up my phone and read the notification whilst putting my plate in the sink.
Messages: Cam💕🤭Has Sent A Message!
I opened the notification excitedly. Only to be instantly disappointed.
Cam💕🤭: Good night brooke💗
Be so for real.
What?! you didn't come over today or text me did i do something wrong?
The message was left on read for the rest of the night. That's really unfortunate.
~Time Skip~
Cameron and I were on our way to school. I decided to confront him about last night.
"Cam, what happened last night?" I asked him.
"Uhm, I..." He trailed off.
"Tell me the truth."
"Alright, but you won't get mad?" He made sure. I nodded. "I was...textingAmelialastnight" he spoke very fast. Too fast for me to comprehend.
"What?" I looked at him confused.
"I was texting Amelia last night. Not anything weird. I promise."
Wow.
"It's okay, I get it. I did force you guys to be friends." I laughed.
No, it was not okay. This is unacceptable.
