~2 Months Later~
Amelia is now well into the group. We all have our days when we hang out together.
Everything seemed to be going according to plan. Well... almost everything.
"Hey, Cam! Want to go to our favorite park today?" I texted my beloved boyfriend.
"srry brooklyn im hanging out with amelia today"
"she said hi"
It's been like 2 months since we hung out one on one. It's not fair.
I got up from my couch and put on my shoes and left, on my way to Cameron's house.
*KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK*
"Brooke? I thought you were hanging out with Cameron?" Ciara answered the door
"He told you that?"
"I mean yea, He said he was hanging out with his girlfriend"
My eyes widened. If he's with his "girlfriend", and I'm right here... Is he cheating?
"Can I wait here 'til he comes back? I need to talk to him." I asked politely.
Ciara nodded and allowed me to walk inside.
I slowly made my way up to Cameron's room. The nostalgic feeling I felt every time I walked here. Remember his space obsession? His walls keep getting filled with more posters every time I look at them, his dresser clutters more and more with different little figures every time I'm here.
I sat down on his bed. I inhale the scent his room gives off and realized I couldn't take it anymore. Just his scent made me want to burst out into tears. He's cheating on me with Amelia and it's my fault. I did this to myself.
~About an Hour Later~
I heard footsteps rush up the stairs. I thought for a second. How could I possibly look him in the eyes without feeling guilty? Too late now.
Cameron entered his room and as he did my phone pinged.
Messages: Cam🙄💕: hey im home now
We both noticed the muffled noise and he looked up from his phone and directly at me.
"Oh...you're here already."
"You sound disappointed?" I said.
"No, no! I promise I'm not, I just didn't expect you to be here." Cameron walked over and sat next to me "But, why are you here?"
"We need to talk," I said seriously.
"About..?"
"These last few months, you and Amelia have been hanging out a lot. One-on-one. Leaving me all alone because Morgan and Lana only really hang out with each other." I stated.
He stayed silent, waiting for me to continue.
"Basically, I'm saying that you and Amelia have been getting really close and it's making me quite uncomfortable."
"But you wanted us to be friends. We're doing what you want" Cameron said, He seemed annoyed.
"I know, But can you remind me the last time WE hung out?"
"Like, two months ago." His face looked like he finally got the point of my lecture.
"Exactly, That's why..." I paused. "I want to break up" I spoke clearly. Finally being able to look him in the eyes.
His eyes filled up with salty tears. "Brooklyn, that's not funny"
"It's not supposed to be funny. It's over. I can't take it anymore" I said, getting up from his bed.
"Brooklyn, Please, I'll change. Please don't leave me" He grabbed my hand.
"No, Cameron. It's like you don't even care for my feelings anymore" I snatched my hand away and rushed out of his room before I start crying myself.
I ran out of his house without even saying bye to his sister.
I thought about what I did. This could either be the best decision or the worst decision ever.
I entered my house and walked into the kitchen and rested my face on my hands.
"Honey, what's wrong?" I heard my father's voice.
I removed my hands from my wet face. "I broke up with Cameron. He's cheating."
My father gasped. "Why would he do that, hasn't he liked you for years?" My father asked.
"Well, clearly I meant nothing to him down to this point" I spoke with a very dull and sad tone.
