"Who else is on the call though?" The sound of my ex-boyfriend's voice erupted from the phone.

Ain't no way.

Amelia texted me

Amy🤩: TALK TO HIM

Me: I hate you. All I wanted was PRIVATE girl talk

Amy🤩: I'm helping you, I'm still here but on mute.

I was the first to start the conversation. "Hello?"

I heard a muffled exaggeration "Oh my God, Bruh." What's that supposed to mean?

"Well that was a warm welcome" I rolled my eyes.

"Sorry. Hi, how are you?" He restarted the conversation formally (like the NPC he is).

"I could be better, how about you?" The awkward tension started to lift.

He ignored my question, "What's wrong?"

"None of your business. How are you?" I repeated my question as the awkward tension dropped down on us again.

"Oh, I'm okay I guess," He said.

"That's nice, bye now," I said and hung up quickly.

Am I even making an effort to get back with him? I promise I am.

Amy🤩: You dumb ash.

Me: Don't let me catch you in these streets.

Amy🤩: Bro what Jade stole my phone.

Me:  Both of you better count your days

I threw my phone on the bed and sighed dramatically. Literally, what am I supposed to do now?

~Lana's  POV~

I sat on my bed with my phone on the other side of the mattress. I was ignoring everyone that tried to text or call me. My dull eyes stared up at the ceiling and I thought.

'This is Amelia's fault. Everything that has happened is her fault. That little bit-' My thoughts were cut off as my deafening ringtone filled my silent room. I looked at my phone. Though it was quite hard to read from the distance between the object and me. I was still able to squint hard enough and recognize the contact name. 'How could Morgan want to talk to me right now?' I thought to myself.

I picked up the phone. "Hello?"

"Can we meet at the park next to your house in about 10 minutes? I want to talk to you." Morgan said. Her voice is as soft as ever, not her usual ear-piercing loud voice.

I shivered with fear when she said she wanted to 'Talk'. We all know what that means. "Sure, I'll be there," I told her.

"Great. See you then." She said and hung up.

I had approximately 10 minutes to get my thoughts straight. Which that'll leave me in an overthinking spiral. Fun!

--------------------------------------------------------

I was at the park a bit earlier than the suggested time so I could have time to think about what Morgan would say.

"I would never date you, that's disgusting" No, she wouldn't say that. She's too nice.

"I'm going to have to politely decline. You know how my parents are," That's closer to what she would say.

"Hey, Lans," Morgan appeared in front of me. I was so lost in thought that I didn't realize her presence.
