Marinette's POV

I couldn't believe it. Adrien had been my crush for years, and just as I was about to make my move, Abigail had to come in and steal him away from me. I had seen them talking and laughing together, and it made me feel sick to my stomach.

As days went by, I noticed that Adrien and Abigail were getting closer and closer. They would hang out during lunch and walk home together after school. It was clear that they had a special connection, and I couldn't help but feel jealous.

To make matters worse, Abigail was new to our school and already making friends with everyone. It was like she had everything handed to her on a silver platter. I couldn't stand the sight of her, so I decided to do something about it.

I teamed up with Chloe, who was more than happy to help me sabotage Abigail. We started spreading rumors about her, saying that she was a liar and a cheater. We even went so far as to make up stories about her stealing from other students.

It didn't take long for the rest of the class to catch on to our lies. Abigail started to become an outcast, and people would whisper behind her back whenever she walked by. I felt a sense of satisfaction knowing that I had succeeded in ruining her reputation.

But the more I saw Adrien getting closer to Abigail, the angrier I became. I couldn't believe that he couldn't see through her lies and see her for the manipulative person she was. It was as if he was under some sort of spell, and I was determined to break it.

One day, during lunch, I saw Adrien and Abigail sitting together at their usual table. I couldn't take it anymore. I stormed over to them, my anger boiling over.

"What do you see in her?" I spat out, glaring at Abigail.

Adrien looked surprised, and Abigail looked hurt. "What are you talking about?" Adrien asked.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about," I snapped. "She's a liar and a cheat. How can you be so blind?"

Adrien's expression turned to one of confusion. "What are you talking about, Marinette? Abigail has done nothing but be kind to everyone since she got here."

I scoffed. "Of course, she's going to be kind to everyone. She's trying to win everyone over so that she can get what she wants."

Abigail stood up, her face red with anger. "That's not true, Marinette. I've done nothing to hurt anyone here. Why are you spreading lies about me?"

I rolled my eyes. "Please. You're just trying to manipulate everyone into liking you."

Adrien stood up, looking between the two of us. "That's enough, Marinette. I don't know what your problem is with Abigail, but you need to stop spreading rumors about her."

I felt a pang of guilt, but I pushed it down. "Fine," I said, walking away. "But don't say I didn't warn you about her."

As I walked away, I couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. I knew that Abigail was nothing but trouble, and I was determined to keep Adrien away from her, no matter what it took. I had no regrets for hurting Abigail. After all, it was her fault for coming into our lives and stealing Adrien away from me.

Abigail's POV

As I walked into the classroom, I couldn't help but feel a sense of unease. Marinette was sitting at her desk with a smug look on her face, and I knew something was up. I tried my best to ignore her and focus on the lesson, but it was hard when I could feel her eyes on me the whole time.

After class, I was making my way to my locker when I overheard some girls whispering about me. "Did you hear the rumors about Abigail?" one of them said. "I heard she's been lying about her past and her family."
