Abigail's POV
I was sitting in my seat in class, flipping through the pages of my history textbook when the teacher walked in with a stack of papers in her hand. As she made her way to the front of the class, my classmates quieted down and sat up straighter in their seats.
"Good morning, class," the teacher said with a smile. "I have some exciting news for you all today. As you know, we have been studying the history of Paris, but now it's time to experience history in the making. We will be taking a field trip to Los Angeles for a week!"
The class erupted into cheers and applause, but I sat frozen in my seat, stunned. I knew that my parents had been planning a surprise for the class, but I had no idea it was this big.
"And here's the best part," the teacher continued. "The entire trip has been arranged by Abigail's parents. They have generously offered to cover all expenses, including airfare, accommodations, and transportation."
All eyes turned to me, and I could feel myself turning red. Adrien and Nino smiled at me encouragingly, but I could see the looks of jealousy and suspicion from the rest of the class.
"We will be visiting all the major landmarks in Los Angeles, including Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and the Getty Museum. I hope you're all as excited as I am."
As the teacher handed out permission slips, I couldn't help but feel nervous about the trip. What about Marinette, who had been spreading rumors about me? Would they try to ruin the trip for me too? Only time would tell.
*******
I walked into my parents' room, finding them both sitting on the bed, going through some documents.
"Hey, Mom, Dad," I said, making them look up at me.
"Hey, Abigail, what's up?" My dad asked, smiling at me.
"I just wanted to talk to you both about something. I heard from my classmates that you planned a field trip to Los Angeles for my class without telling me," I said, crossing my arms over my chest.
My mom sighed. "Abigail, we wanted to surprise you. We know how much you miss your friends in America, and we thought it would be a great opportunity for you to spend some time with them."
"I appreciate that, but you should have told me. I could have helped you plan it better, and I could have prepared for it," I said, trying to make them understand.
My dad put his arm around me. "We're sorry, Abigail. We just wanted to make you happy."
"I know, and I am grateful for that, but next time, please let me know," I said, hugging him back.
My mom smiled. "Of course, sweetheart. We promise to involve you in all our plans from now on."
I nodded, feeling relieved that they understood my point of view. "Thank you. Now, can we talk about the trip, and what we need to do to make it perfect?" I said, excitedly.
*******
I picked up my phone and dialed Adrien's number. I was in the mood for some shopping, and I thought it would be fun to go with Adrien, Alya, and Nino."Hello?" Adrien answered.
"Hey, Adrien, it's Abigail. I was wondering if you guys are free to go shopping with me today?" I asked.
Adrien replied, "Sure, I'm free today. Let me ask Alya and Nino."
I heard Adrien speaking with Alya and Nino in the background, and then he came back on the line. "They're both free too. Where do you want to meet?"
"How about we meet at the mall in an hour?" I suggested.
"Sounds good. We'll see you there," Adrien said, and we hung up.
I quickly got ready and headed out to the mall. As I walked towards the entrance, I spotted Adrien, Alya, and Nino waiting for me.
"Hey, guys!" I greeted them with a smile.
"Hey, Abigail!" Alya replied, and Nino gave me a wave.
"Are you guys ready to shop till we drop?" I asked excitedly.
They all nodded, and we walked into the mall together. We spent the next few hours going from store to store, trying on clothes and picking out new outfits. It was a lot of fun, and we laughed and joked around as we shopped.
After a while, we took a break and sat down at a café to grab a bite to eat. We chatted about school and our plans for the upcoming weekend.
As we finished our snacks, I turned to Adrien and asked, "Hey, Adrien, do you want to check out the new shoe store that opened up on the other side of the mall?"
Adrien smiled, "Sure, let's go."
*******
I woke up early, excited about the trip to LA. It's been months since I left the city, and I couldn't wait to be back. I packed my bags, double-checking to make sure I had everything I needed.
As I arrived at the airport, I saw my classmates already gathered at the check-in counter, all chattering away excitedly. I scanned the crowd, trying to spot Adrien, Alya, and Nino. I finally saw them standing near the gate, and I made my way towards them.
"Hey guys!" I greeted them, beaming with excitement.
"Abigail! Finally, you're here," Alya said, giving me a quick hug.
"You look great," Adrien said, a hint of a smile on his lips.
I felt my cheeks flush at his compliment. "Thanks. I'm so excited about this trip."
Hi guys, I'll give u a surprise in the next chapter and obviously more details about their trip. Please vote and comment.
Bye Dreamers
