Chapter 11 - The Betrayal

Abigail's POV

We were all gathered in the hotel's conference room for our last night in LA. Adrien had planned a special surprise for everyone, but before that, we had an announcement to make.

"Hey guys, I have something to tell you," Adrien said, taking my hand.

Everyone turned to look at us, and Marinette and Chloe rolled their eyes.

"What is it?" Alya asked, smiling.

"Abigail and I are officially together," Adrien announced, grinning from ear to ear.

There was a collective gasp from everyone in the room, except for Chloe and Marinette, who looked like they had just been told their favorite designer was retiring.

"What?!" Chloe exclaimed. "You're dating her? That's ridiculous! What could you possibly see in her?"

I felt my cheeks flush with anger, but Adrien squeezed my hand reassuringly.

"Excuse me, Chloe, but I think that's enough," I said, my voice icy cold. "You have no right to talk to us that way."

Marinette chimed in. "Yeah, we all know that your family has money, but that doesn't mean you can just buy your way into everything."

I stood up, towering over the two girls. "Actually, it does mean that. My family's money and power can buy me anything I want, including this hotel and everything in it. And let me make it clear, Adrien chose to be with me because of who I am, not because of what I have."

I could see the shock and embarrassment on their faces as I turned on my heel and walked away with Adrien's arm around my waist. It felt good to stand up for myself and show them that money can't buy everything.

**Flashback**

Marinette's POV

As Marinette walked down the street, her thoughts were consumed with her latest discovery. She couldn't wait to tell Chloe about it. She knew Chloe would be just as excited as she was.

"Chloe!" Marinette exclaimed as she entered Chloe's room.

"What's up, Marinette?" Chloe asked.

"I figured out who Phantom Claw is," Marinette said with a sly grin.

"Really? Who is it?" Chloe asked eagerly.

"It's Abigail," Marinette said triumphantly.

"Abigail? As in Abigail Roberts?" Chloe asked, surprised.

"Yes, the same Abigail that everyone is obsessed with. She's been Phantom Claw all along," Marinette said.

Chloe's eyes widened. "This is huge. We have to expose her to the world," she said excitedly.

Marinette nodded. "I was thinking the same thing. We can't let her get away with this," she said.

Chloe smirked. "Don't worry, Marinette. We'll make sure she pays for her crimes," she said confidently.

Marinette couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction. Finally, she had something on Abigail. She couldn't wait to see the look on her face when she was exposed to the world.

** Flashback Ends **

I can't believe it. Adrien and Abigail are officially dating. This is the worst news ever. We need to do something to break them up.

Chloe nods in agreement. "Yeah, we can't let someone like her be with Adrien. He deserves someone better."

"I know," I reply. "And now that we know she's Phantom Claw, we have the perfect opportunity to expose her to the world. Adrien will see her true colors and break up with her."

Chloe smirks. "I like the way you think, Marinette. Let's do it."

We start planning our next move. We know we can't do it alone, so we decide to reach out to some of our classmates to help us.

We gather at my place and discuss our plan. We come up with a scheme to catch Phantom Claw in the act and reveal her true identity to the world.

As we work, I can feel my anger towards Abigail growing. How dare she come into our lives and take Adrien away from us? She deserves everything that's coming to her.

Once our plan is finalized, we set it in motion. We are determined to bring down Abigail and get Adrien back.

Abigail's POV

Abigail's heart pounded in her chest as she watched Marinette and Chloe step onto the stage, their faces twisted with malicious glee. She knew what was coming next, and it made her sick to her stomach.

"Good evening, everyone," Marinette began, her voice cutting through the hushed murmurs of the crowd. "We have a very special announcement to make tonight. As you all know, Phantom Claw has been a involved with Ladybug and Cat Noir for quite some time now."

Abigail's eyes widened in horror. They couldn't possibly be planning to reveal her true identity to everyone, could they?

Chloe smirked, clearly relishing the moment. "Well, tonight we finally have proof of who Phantom Claw really is."

The crowd murmured with anticipation as Marinette held up a photograph of Abigail, clad in her superhero suit.

"This is Phantom Claw," she announced. "And this, my friends, is Abigail."

The room erupted into chaos as people gasped and whispered, their eyes fixed on Abigail. She felt like the ground had dropped out from under her, and her mind raced with panic.

She needed Adrien and her family now more than ever. But as she looked around the room, all she could see were shocked and accusatory faces.

I sit on the bed, staring blankly at the wall in front of me. The weight of everything that has happened is heavy on my shoulders. Adrien sits beside me and takes my hand in his.

"I'm so sorry, Abigail. I can't imagine how hard this is for you," he says softly.

I turn to him, tears streaming down my face. "I don't know what to do, Adrien. My life is ruined. Everyone knows who I am now."

"It's going to be okay. We'll figure this out together," he says, giving my hand a gentle squeeze.

"But how? How can we fix this?" I ask, feeling overwhelmed.

Adrien takes a deep breath. "We'll start by talking to your parents. They're going to support you no matter what, and we'll come up with a plan together."

I nod, grateful for his support. "Thank you, Adrien. I don't know what I would do without you."

"You don't have to go through this alone, Abigail. I'll always be here for you," he says, pulling me into a tight embrace.

I bury my face in his chest, feeling safe and comforted in his arms. For the first time since my identity was revealed, I feel like maybe, just maybe, everything is going to be okay.
